Lauderdale,Florida Faith Linn,director of alumni relations, traveled to three Cedarville College alumni gatherings and visited nearly 100 alumni in southern Florida during the latter half of January. Faith met with alumni and friends to encourage,fellowship,and share the exciting news of Cedarville College. Forty alumni,friends, and family gathered in sunny Ft. Lauderdale on Saturday, January 24, at Florida's Museum ofDiscovery and Science,courtesy of the Alumni Association. This fun-filled event was hosted by Janice Zachary Webber'79. Over the course of the day,the group gathered around the Great Gravity Clock and then enjoyed over 200 exciting hands-on exhibits. Sebnng,Florida Martha Brooker Lewis '72,and Bernice Mick'53 hosted a gourmet dessert reception for 41 Cedarville College alumni at Maranatha Village in Sebring, Florida. A special guest appearance was made by Dr. James T. Jeremiah, chancellor of Cedarville College and former president, along with his wife, Ethel. Ft. Myers,Florida At Ft. Myers,Florida,a gathering of 12 Cedarville alumni met for fellowship and fun at McGregor Baptist Church. Singles pastor of the church Dan Barfell '85 and his wife,Elena(Michael '86), as well as Glenda Maxey Erickson '83 hosted a wonderful dessert reception. Columbus,Ohio Regional Area Coordinator for Columbus,Ohio Dave Bennett'87 hosted a gathering of 25 Cedarville College alumni on December 19. Columbus area alumni business professionals socialized and networked over a scrumptious breakfast buffet at the Florentine Restaurant, located in the heart ofdowntown Columbus. Faith Linn,director of alumni relations, shared all the latest news of Cedarville College, and Lew Gibbs,director of career services, laid out a strategic plan to link students and graduates to the business community with the help of Cedarville College alumni. Boston, Massachusetts Doug and Julie Buckley Macrae'93 hosted a Boston area alumni gathering at their home in Weston, Massachusetts on November 15, 1997. Sixteen alumni and friends enjoyed gourmet desserts, lively fellowship, and a Cedarville College update from Mark Kordic'87N, development officer for Cedarville College.
