22 Spring 2001 Alumni Events Seattle, Washington December 16, 2000 Celebrating the Christmas season together was a special occasion for this group of 30 alumni and friends in the Seattle area. Following dinner at Overlake Christian Church, the group moved into the sanctuary for the annual Living Christmas Tree production. This event was hosted by Todd ’91 and Jacquie Leshan Gathany ’92 and Camille Holloway Schuette ’95. Alumni Basketball Weekend Cedarville University January 13, 2001 Alumni games, the Yellow Jacket luncheon, prizes, give-aways, an appetizer smorgasbord, and a nail-biting men’s varsity basketball overtime win against Saint Vincent College all contributed to a fun-filled alumni event. Northfield, Ohio December 3, 2000 Since Dr. Dixon was speaking at Northfield Baptist Church, it seemed the perfect time to get alumni in the church together for dinner. Hosted by Greg Perelka ’91, this event brought 19 alumni and friends together for a time of interaction with President Dixon. Pastor Green (P.G.) gave a brief update on what’s happening in his life and at the ’Ville. Everyone agreed that the food portions certainly gave credence to the phrase “everything’s bigger in Texas!” Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina February 2, 2001 All-you-can-eat Italian cuisine along with desserts made by alumni proved to be the perfect combination for this event hosted by former Cedarville staff member Kevin Smith and Jason Overturf ’00. Twenty-five alumni and friends shared memories and impressions of Cedarville “then” and “now.” Naples, Florida February 24, 2001 Dr. and Mrs. Dixon were joined by 44 alumni and friends of the University for a delightful luncheon at Bonita Bay Club. Speakers included Dr. Dixon, Mrs. Dixon, and Clarence Gray ’37 as updates and happenings at Cedarville University were presented to the group.
