Saving the Babies What would happen if you were sitting at work and you received a postcard from your employer—a bright, yellow, “look-at-me” postcard that informed you that your boss was not too happy with some of the decisions that you have been making lately and that in the future you should seriously consider changing your approach? John and Megan McMacken Rock ’97 propose that pro-life voters can cause positive changes in their federal legislators by just such a method. The Rocks’ organization, Saving the Babies, is looking for members to spend a mere five minutes a month to mail a bright yellow pre-printed postcard to his or her federal representatives. Saving the Babies does all the work: finding out who the congressmen are for each member, creating the pre-printed, pre-addressed, pre- stamped postcards, and reminding members to sign and mail the postcards each month. The Rocks explained, “Of course, the legislators will disregard a couple of postcards in the first month, and even a dozen in the next month. Most legislators might disregard 10 dozen by the sixth month. But what happens when after 12 months the legislators are getting 1,000 or even 5,000 bright yellow ‘look- at-me’ type postcards per month that are all calling for them to vote against abortion?” For more information, visit www.savingthebabies.com or contact the Rocks at 810-784-4174, info@savingthebabies.com , or Saving the Babies, P.O.
