Justin is a police officer with the Largo (Florida) Police Department, and Cheryl is a stay-at- home mom. 2000s Heather Hannah Lee ’00 and her husband, Maurice, announce the birth of Trenton Joseph Emeric on July 23, 2005. He joins his sisters, Marissa (9) and Bethany (3), at home in Xenia, Ohio. Maurice is working towards his master of social work degree at the University of Cincinnati and works as a discharge planner for Grandview Hospital. Heather enjoys homeschooling and caring for the children. Rebecca Leatherman Michalak ’00 and her husband, Jarrod, announce the birth of Austin Eli on April 11, 2005. Jarrod is an automotive technician and manages a family auto repair business. Rebecca enjoys staying at home with Austin, tutoring, and teaching swimming lessons at the YMCA. Christine Olbrich ’00 and Mike Murray were married July 30, 2005 at Grace Bible Church in Elmer, New Jersey. After a two-week honeymoon in Riviera Maya, they returned to their home in Woodstown, New Jersey. Chris is teaching fifth and sixth grade math, and Mike is a state trooper. Paul ’00 and Ellen Laber Swenson ’00 announce the birth of Noah Clifford on September 1, 2005. Big brothers Samuel Paul and Hazen Scott welcomed him home in Newport Center, Vermont. Paul works for an electrical wholesale company, and Ellen is a full-time mom. Jennifer Griffith ’01 and Scott Stone were married July 23, 2005 at East Valley Bible Church in Gilbert, Arizona. After a honeymoon in Aruba, the couple moved to their new home in Greensboro, North Carolina. Scott is a captain for Chautauqua Airlines, and Jennifer is a substitute teacher for Guilford County Schools. Andrew ’01 and Sarah Kanzeg Mellish ’01 announce the birth of Matthew Joseph on November 15, 2005. Andrew is a communications specialist for Life Issues Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Sarah is staying at home with Matthew. The proud grandparents are Ron ’70 and Christine Meyer Mellish ’72 . Amber Zedwick O’Neal ’01 and her husband, Jeff, announce the birth of Brady James on July 13, 2005. Amber recently resigned as a pediatric nurse at Children’s Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio to take care of the family. Tim ’01 and Amanda Pilgrim Priano ’00 announce the birth of twins, Rebekah Lee and Joseph Timothy, on April 18, 2005. Tim works in financial aid at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and is also the organist for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Amanda works part-time at a law firm and enjoys staying home with the twins. Adam McCune ’02 and Michelle Rigel ’04 were married October 22, 2005 in Indianapolis, Indiana. After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, they have made their home in Fairborn, Ohio. Both Adam and Michelle serve at Cedarville University. Adam works for advancement services, and Michelle is the coordinator of regional alumni events and services in the alumni relations office. Adam also became an ordained minister on October 2, 2005. Mandi Bustle Powell ’02 and her husband, Jason, reside in Cincinnati, Ohio. They have two children, Tori (3) and Jordan (18 months). Mandi is a self- employed childcare provider, and Jason is an IT manager. Jacob ’02 and Karin Kokeny Pyles ’03 announce the birth of Jackson Luke on October 28, 2005. Jake is employed by the State of Ohio, and Karin is a nurse at Kettering Medical Center. They reside in Xenia, Ohio. Brad ’02 and Melissa Cortina VanHeukelum ’02 announce the birth of Riley Allen on September 6, 2005. Brad is a fourth year medical student at the University of Cincinnati (pursuing family medicine). After three years of teaching kindergarten, Melissa now enjoys staying at home with Riley. Doug Bierer ’03 was ordained to the ministry in October 2005. He is the associate pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Erie, Pennsylvania. Jared Frederickson ’03 and Shauna Verosky ’03 were married March 13, 2004 in Rochester, New York, where they currently live. They enjoyed a cruise in the Caribbean on their honeymoon. Jared is a news photojournalist at the NBC television station, and Shauna is a technician supervisor for a private cardiologist practice. Jessica Dunning Haynes ’03 and her husband, Mark, announce the birth of Elijah Philip on April 14, 2005. Jessica works from home for Magnet America, and Mark is a full-time student at Piedmont Baptist College studying missionary aviation. They reside in Winston- Salem, North Carolina. Matt ’03 and Katy Hult Hazard ’03 were married September 4, 2005 at Grace Evangelical Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, where they now reside. Matt is a technical writer at Quest Information Systems, and Katy is a grant writer for the Indiana National Guard. Emily Macdonald ’03 and Trevor Bonsell were married August 27, 2005 at Heritage Fellowship Church in Springfield, Ohio, where they now reside. Trevor is a system support analyst at Assurant Solutions, and Emily works in media advancement for CDR Radio at Cedarville University. Nicholas Walton ’03 and Allison Hume ’01 were finally married on June 19, 2005 after two years of friends asking, “So when are you two going to get married already?” Nick and Allison put 13 of those friends in the wedding party so they would stop asking.
