Inspire, Spring 2008

2 spring 2008 www.cedarville.edu/summer for everyone ! SomeThInG EvenTs 2O O8 ! ) Summer edi tor ’s greet ing Welcome to the new Inspire , the Cedarville magazine! After months of preparation, we’re delighted to present you with 48 pages filled with engaging features, the latest news, student happenings, outstanding photography, and (best of all) more ways to connect. Why? Because Inspire is the gathering place for Cedarville alumni. Its pages connect all of us who have shared the Cedarville experience, even if we’ve never met. We also welcome new readers — parents and friends who share our commitment to Cedarville University. Together, through Inspire , we are celebrating the unique influence of the Cedarville family in our world. In this issue, we also introduce new Director of Alumni Relations Jeff Beste ’87. Though Inspire will now be part of Jeff’s ministry, the dreams of Faith (Linn) Vision ’83 for the magazine are reflected on every page. As we considered Inspire’s potential, so many people contributed. Dave Ormsbee ’78 challenged us to think bigger, and Kerry Estes ’04 inspired the artistic direction. Carrie Savage’s talent for graphic design ensured a compelling presentation of the content. We are deeply grateful to each person who gave ideas and time to the process. We begin this new era of Inspire considering the theme “legacy.” As a Christ-centered university, Cedarville is committed to equipping students for lifelong leadership and service through an education marked by excellence and grounded in biblical truth. We honor those who are part of the Cedarville heritage, and we celebrate the legacy that the Cedarville family is leaving around the world. Enjoy exploring the pages of the new Inspire ! We are celebrating the unique influence of the Cedarville family in our world. Spring 2008 Janice (Warren) Supplee ’86 Director of Marketing Services
