There are 117 years (and counting) of federal service between them. 1980s Tim Moore ’80 has accepted a position at the University of Wisconsin-Madison after teaching at Heritage Christian Schools in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for 30 years. He now works at the Center for the Study of the American Constitution, where he is an assistant editor for The Documentary History of the Ratification of the American Constitution and develops educational outreach programming. Lisa Meharry ’81 is a missionary serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Orlando, Florida. She helps support the staff as the center services business manager. Marla (Waddle) Cross ’82 announces the release of her book, Cloud of Witnesses, a fictional work that explores deceased Christians’ observations of Earth from a heavenly vantage point. Randy Marriott ’85 is an emergency physician at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He is pictured on the left along with his son, Rick ’12 (right), and Travis Hermann ’02 (middle), at the 2010 Vectren Dayton Air Show, where they represented the University’s emergency medical service, CUEMS. chapter focus — cincinnati The Cincinnati Chapter of the Alumni Association hosted alumni and friends at the Creation Museum in January. In addition to visiting the museum’s exhibits and planetarium, guests were treated to a presentation on the relevance of Genesis by Dr. Georgia (Hickman) Purdom ’94, a researcher and speaker with Answers in Genesis (AiG). According to AiG, she is the only female scientist with a Ph.D. who is engaged in full-time speaking and research for a biblical creationist organization in North America. Cedarville’s own Dr. John Whitmore, professor of geology, presented on the nature of the fossil record. He also updated alumni on Cedarville’s growing geology major, and he reported some exciting geological discoveries he and his students are uncovering in the Grand Canyon. Pam (McClain) Nickles ’96 said, “I have wanted to visit the Creation Museum for quite some time. This event was the perfect catalyst to get me there, offering not only an educational experience but the chance to reconnect with friends.” Learn more about alumni chapters and find one in your area!
