She was born on September 9, 1999 in Hunan, China. They rejoice in God's provision in leading them to their daughter. The Clarks recently celebrated their fourteenth wedding anniversary and reside in Kettering, Ohio. They are active members of Far Hills Baptist Church. Anthony Pepe'85 has become a volunteer fireman in Bar Sur Seine, France, in order to make connections in the community. He and his wife, Kathy, were excited to see many churches participating in the "40 days of prayer for France," the largest movement of prayer for France in the nation's history. Rod '86N and Cyndi Robinette Fillinger'84 announce the birth of Reagan Madeleine on January 8, 2001. She was welcomed home by her four sisters, Elisabeth, Emily, Abigail, and Meghan, in Woodbridge, Virginia. Diane Lichtensteiger'86 has had many new opportunities to teach in English in Chinese schools, thanks to direct answers to prayer. She is thankful for all the new teachers that have come to Beijing. Mary Welch Swieringa'86 and her husband, Paul, announce the birth of Abigail Jean. She was born August 28, 2000 and was welcomed home by her siblings, Matthew (12), Julia (10), and Rebekah (6), in Lusby, Maryland. Mary is taking courses for her master's degree in counseling/psychology and enjoys staying at home. Paul is a quality control manager for a local contractor. Susan Brown '88 and Tom Ramsey were married June 17, 2000 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Tom is a materials planner for US Airways. Sue graduated in May 2001 with a master's of divinity degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. She has been awarded a teaching assistantship to pursue a doctorate in historical theology at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. David Gehringer'88 and Tanya Howard were married October 14, 2000 at Urbancrest Baptist Church in Lebanon, Ohio. After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, the couple made their home in Clarksville, Ohio. David is a police officer for the city of Lebanon, and Tanya is a sixth grade teacher for Lebanon City Schools. Faith Kenoyer'83 teaches a small group of children in Egypt. She has been encouraged by her fellow teachers' creativity and enthusiasm for learning. Michele Roop Leitch '83 and her husband, Dave, announce with heartfelt thanks the long- awaited arrival of God's precious miracle- Zachary Byron. Zachary, whose name means "God remembers," was born October 12, 1999. His big sisters, Hannah (13)and Carissa (10), are wonderful "little mothers" for Zachary. After Zachary spent ten days .n the NICU due to a hole in his lung, his family joyously welcomed him home to Elyria, Ohio. Having been through the loss of ten children, the Leitch family is reveling in God's goodness in the gift of little Zachary. God truly does remember! Scott Dixon'84 received his Ph.D. from Michigan State University on May 4, 2001. Scott is an assistant professor of Bible at Cedarville University. He and his wife, Sara (Beattie)'84, reside in Springfield, Ohio with their children, Drew, Ben, Claire, Seth, and Ellie. Susan Johnson'84 and Donald Holmes were married March 27, 1999 at Battle Ground Bible Church in West Lafayette, Indiana. They enjoyed a honeymoon to Ensenada, Mexico, where they now reside as missionaries with Baptist World Mission. Don began work in Ensenada in 1989 and started a local church, Iglesia Bautista Fundamental. When Don and Susan returned to the field, the church began to look for property, because it currently meets in a rented building. Susan teaches piano, leads the choir, teaches English classes and children's church, and accompanies Don on visitation and Bible studies. Jenny Bernard Wyckoff'84 and her husband, Dan, announce the birth of Claire Johnston on October 14, 2000. Paige (4), Veronica (3), and Jillian(18 months), awaited her arrival and welcomed her with hugs and kisses in Dayton, Ohio. Gary'85 and Carole Roland Cairo'86 announce the birth of Isabelle Joy on November 19, 2000. She joins her siblings, Courtney (11), Brooke (9), Daniel (7), Jordan (5), and Natalie (3), in Concord, Ohio. adopting the two boys, they decided to try to adopt Yuri also. Andrea shared, "Yuri was as excited to become a member of our family as we were to adopt him. It is truly amazing how the Lord works. This was never our plan. We had initially hoped to help one child, and we ended up with three!" The need is so great to adopt older children; in fact, Yuri was only the third child to ever be adopted from his orphanage. Craig '89 and Tricia Fee '91 announce the birth of Christian Mark. He was born November 17, 2000 and was welcomed home by his brothers, Andrew and Benjamin, in Pottersville, New York. Craig is the international ministries controller for Word of Life Fellowship, Inc., and Tricia enjoys being a stay-at-home mom. Steve'89 and Sherri Hannay Gerhardt'88 live in Grand Ledge, Michigan with their three boys, Daniel (5), Ryan (4), and Joshua (2). In September 2000, Steve left his job with Auto-Owners Insurance in the computer programming division to become a stay-at-home dad. He continues to be active at church and enjoys doing some Web design for their family site. Sherri is a physician assistant in the Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Sparrow Hospital. 90s Kimberly Cox Anderson '90 and her husband, Keith, announce the birth of Scott Bryan on February 26, 2001. He joins his brothers, Keith Michael (7), Marc (5), and Joshua (3), at home in Columbus, Ohio. Curtis'90 and Melissa Martin Cline'90 announce the birth of Lucas Uriah on February 17, 2001. He was welcomed home by his siblings, Alex (6)and Abbi(4), in Cedarville, Ohio. Curtis works for Cedarville University in the external relations office. Steve Lesko'90 and his wife, Melanie, announce the birth of Miles Wilson. He was born October 12, 2000, and joins his brothers, Bradley and Benjamin, in Perkasie, Pennsylvania. Steve is the assistant athletic director at Philadelphia Biblical University. Nicole Jensen Norris '91 and her husband, Aaron, announce the birth of Brant Jensen on July 25, 2000. They reside in Mentone, Indiana. Cory '88 and Andrea Snyder Neumann'87 and their children, Kassie, Alexi, Landon, and Sasha rejoice that they were able to adopt Yuri(12)from Russia in December 2000. Last May, the Neumanns traveled to Russia and adopted brothers Sasha and Alexi. While they were there, they learned that Sasha and Alexi had an older brother, Yuri.
