Council Update Alumni Council Experiences Changes T wo council members have completed their terms.Sherri Watson Smith'86 has served the alumni council faithfully for four years. While on the council, Sherri had the privilege ofrepresenting the alumni association to the board oftrustees and held the position of alumni association chairperson for two years. Sherri currently serves as the director of media for Tyndale House Publishers. She is married to John Smith,who serves as the pastor offamily ministries at Harvest Bible Chapel in Rolling Meadows,Illinois. John and Sherri make their home in Arlington Heights,Illinois. Amy Young Womack'88 has completed a council term offive years. Amy held the position ofsecretary for the council and also worked diligently on the student relations committee. Living in Cedarville provided the opportunity for Amy to be involved in many on-campus alumni and student activities Amy and her husband Mark '88, sports information director at Cedarville University, have three daughters and were named "Ohio Family of the Year"in 2000. Amy and Mark have served as Sunday school teachers and senior high youth group leaders at Grace Baptist Church of Cedarville for more than 10 years. T wo new council members have been added for four-year terms. Susan Terkelsen'88 resides in Cedarville, Ohio and teaches computer applications courses at the University. While working at Cedarville,Sue led several student missionary teams to Jamaica to work with deaf children and adults. She also served as the yearbook advisor for three years. She is active in Grace Baptist Church as a greeter, social conunittee member,and substitute teacher for the 4- and 5-year- olds class. Sue,who earned her master's degree from Miami University in 1989,enjoys downhill skiing, cross-stitching, and walking her dog,Max. 26 Summer 2001 Kim Jenerette '88,his wife,Lisa,and their three daughters live in Travelers Rest, South Carolina and attend Hampton Park Baptist Church. Kim has served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher and currently coaches the soccer teams of all three daughters. He is employed as the director of financial aid at the University of South Carolina at Spartanburg. Within his profession, he has served on the executive board for the South Carolina Association ofFinancial Aid Administrators as vice president, member-at-large,and chair ofthe long range planning committee,the professional development committee, and the legislative concerns committee. He has served as a speaker for conferences in South Carolina,an instructor for financial aid workshops throughout South Carolina and Georgia,and a consultant to schools. Within the community,he has chaired the Habitat for Humanity Collegiate Challenge, which coordinates students from colleges and universities throughout the United States. Currently he serves as a regional alumni coordinator for Cedarville University. While at Cedarville, Kim played on the soccer team,served on the student senate, and was a member ofMu Chi. It was during his junior year at Cedarville that he recognized there was something special about the other students and their commitment to Christ,causing him to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
