Wendy Stith ’87 and David Stacey were married October 2, 2004 at The Chapel in Sandusky, Ohio. The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Maine before returning to Sandusky. Wendy is the head of technical services for the Sandusky Library, and David is the service manager for Dorr Chevrolet. Lynell Smith ’88 is using sports to make contacts for evangelism in Brazil. She plays basketball with a local women’s team, volunteers in public schools, and teaches English as a second language. Sharyn Hambley ’89 was recently hired as a proofreader for The Swiss Colony, a mail-order catalog company. She also serves on the missions committee at Lena Evangelical Free Church. 90s Jeff Oswald ’90 was recently appointed director of Baptist Children’s Home of Michigan. He and his wife, Rayna, have served there 12 years and have been blessed with four birth children plus dozens of other children they have had the privilege to parent. Rod ’90 and Sara Taylor Perkins ’94 have discontinued their ministry with Evangelical Baptist Missions in South Africa. After much prayer and counsel, they feel God is leading them to minister in the United States. Lori Lindner French ’92 and her family are in the United States for their home assignment. They feel privileged to be a part of the work in the Philippines. Michael Ortlieb ’92 and his wife, Crystal, announce the births of their two sons. Jayce Isaac Reo was born October 15, 2002, and Reagan Marcus was born October 26, 2004. Michael is a paralegal at a law firm in Dover, New Hampshire and attends Suffolk Law University at night. Crystal enjoys staying home to homeschool their daughter, Lauryn, and care for the boys. Jay ’92 and Laura Gibney Peary ’92 share that they had a great experience on a short-term missions trip to the Philippines. They were very excited to meet their Compassion International boy and to see the impact they are making on his life. Jay is a detective with the Maine State Police, and Laura works part-time at Bangor Baptist Church. They have two children, Caleb (9) and Caitlin (4). Shelly Sutton Cochrane ’93 and her husband, Phil, announce the birth of Ellen Grace on May 31, 2004. She joins her sister, Jessica (2), at home. They have recently moved from Calgary, Alberta, Canada to Los Angeles, California, where Phil works for BP America Inc. Shelly enjoys staying home with the girls. Randy ’93 and Cindy Commons Richner ’91 serve with ABWE in Porto Alegre, Brazil. They have two children, Airiana (9) and Joel (7). Randy ’93 and Sarah Good Southwell ’93 are the parents of Victoria (10), Elaina (7), Lucus (6), and Zackery (7 months). They are missionaries with ABWE in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Dan Treier ’93 and Amy Black were married January 1, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Dan and Amy both earned their doctorates and are professors at Wheaton College. Dan teaches theology, and Amy teaches political science. Jeremy ’94 and Rachelle Anderson Barton ’95 announce the birth of Callahan Faith on March 31, 2004. Jeremy is a product engineer for MAHLE-Tennex North America, and Rachelle is a stay-at- home mom after working for the Principal Financial Group for six years. They live in Des Moines, Iowa. Nicole Silvera Freeman ’94 and her husband, Guy, are ministering with the Toronto City Mission in Scarborough, Ontario. They are also partnering with a local church that is intentional about meeting the needs of the surrounding community. They are excited that their new after-school program has been well received in the community. They have two sons, Kaleb and Jensen. Stacy Smith LaMotte ’94 and her husband, Tom, announce the birth of Sydney Michelle on April 7, 2004. She was welcomed home by her sister, Ellie, in Bay Village, Ohio. Dale Radcliff ’94 and his wife, Jennifer, announce the birth of Andrew Ford on January 6, 2004. Dale is an electrical engineer at Battelle Memorial Institute, and Jennifer stays at home with Andrew in Columbus, Ohio. Erin Wawro ’94 is presently serving with the Wheelersburg Baptist Church in Wheelersburg, Ohio, while doing pre-field ministry. She plans to leave for Brazil this year. Kevin ’95 and Jennifer Zenner Conkel ’95 announce the birth of Elise Rachelle on November 2, 2004. She was welcomed home by Linnae (5) and Nathan (3) in Hudsonville, Michigan. Kevin is a chemistry teacher and girls cross- country and track coach at Hudsonville High School. Jennifer provides daycare and enjoys being home with the kids. Tim ’95 and Naomi Jensen Cowley ’95 announce the birth of Tessa Elyse on December 10, 2004 in Blantyre, Malawi. They serve with Frontiers and work among the Muslim Yao people. Tessa joins her siblings, Mika (7), Emily (5), and Gabe (3). Sam ’95 and Sarah Mattke Garland ’97 announce the birth of Micah Robert on February 6, 2004. He joins his siblings, Katherine Ann (4) and Joshua Blake (2), in Slinger, Wisconsin. Sam has returned to school to pursue his master of science degree in nursing education. He is now an adjunct faculty member at Cardinal Stritch University. Sarah enjoys staying at home. Brad Graham ’95 has been named vice president of investments by A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. Brad has been with A.G. Edwards since 2000 and was most recently serving as a financial consultant in the firm’s Worthington, Ohio office. He and his wife, Jill (Aumsbaugh) ’96 , reside in Westerville, Ohio with their son, Carson (2). Lori Jean Rodgers Smith ’94 has been invited to join Steve Green as solo violinist on his 2005 concert circuit. As part of Steve’s tour, Lori will make stops in Dallas, Texas; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Westerville, Ohio; Nashville, Tennessee; and Austin, Texas (additional tour info is available at www. stevegreenministries.org). Because Steve has also been asked to provide several music packages on the Turning Point Alaska Cruise with Dr. David Jeremiah ’63 , Lori and her husband, Tim ’91 , will be going on the seven- day cruise as well. But music is not the only thing that has been keeping Lori busy. Under the pen name of “Lori Jean,” her book of poetry, titled Musings, was published in February 2005. It is currently available through www.publishamerica.com as well as Borders, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon. Lori and Tim live in Clermont, Florida with their sons, Zachary (6) and Dillon (4).
