How encouraging to hear the following from the student who won: Thank you so much for your $100 gift. It was exciting to go up on stage to receive it. It made my homecoming more enjoyable. I decided to use the money to sponsor a boy in Ethiopia. Thank you again for your generous gift. —Kyle Jackson ’07 Springfield, Ohio Mom Surprised by Inspire Story In the Winter 2004 edition of Inspire , Barry ’73 and Margaret McCoy shared the story of how their family honors Margaret’s mother, Martha Loanes. Following the issue’s publication, Margaret wrote: My mom only asked for stamps for Christmas. “Nothing more … since I’ll just have to cart it around!” she said. So our Christmas gift to her was a bunch of stamps and the Inspire article, with lots of love from her children! Thank you from all of us for the article.
