November8 marked Grandparents Day at Cedarville College. Students and their grandparents enjoyed aday of chapel,activities,classes,and dining. Robbie(Williams'39)Prine hastwo grandsons atthe College. Kevin Fath is afreshman. His brother Kelly'91 is the college representative for the Admissions Office. Their parents, Rev.and Mrs. David K. Fath are members of the Parents Council. The annual alumni soccer gameended in a 1-1 tie as many returned as participants and spectators. ALUMNI HOMECOMING CHAPEL Nine hundred plus alumni returned for Homecoming and attended the Saturday chapelservice planned justfor them. During the 11 o'clock hour,alumni enjoyed special music by Dan Bergen'74N,heard a message by Dr. Dixon,sang "Christ is All I Need," and prayed with"PG."The Alumni Awards were presented atthis time,also.Thanks to all who attended,this will become a regular part of Home- coming Weekend. Dan Bergen'74N, provided special music. John McGillivray'70 and Jane (Romig'88)Brooker were inducted into the Cedarville College Athletic Hall of Fame during the Homecom- ingfestivities. Dr.Dixon challenged those attending the Alumni Chapelto reco9nize the blessings and the responsi- bility ofthe Christian life. Kelly Scott,senior communication arts major,wascrowned Homecoming Queen. Rev.James Carrington '77shared his ministry in the Milwaukeeinner-city with the students. TheSophomore Classfloat took first place in the Homecoming Parade competition. 047 itrid . Dr. David Matson wasgrand marshall of the parade. ALUMNI WEEK CHAPEL HIGHLIGHTS The tradition of inviting alumni back to participate in chapel during the week before Homecoming continues this year. Many dynamic speakers and musicians representing a variety of years and disciplines urged the students to continue the quest of education as life-long learners with dedication to God. Through their music and messages,our returning alumni shared ups and downs of college life, memories of life-changing proportion, and after-college experiences. Mindy(Jackson'84) Bob Foreman'77 Norman is currently teaches English at raising afamily in PasadenaCommunity Valparaiso,Indianaand College in California.Bob continues her musical is a newly-elected Alumni ministry with several area Council representative. churches. Dr. Rex Rogers'74 chal- lenged the students to a life of learning.The presidentof Grand Rapids Baptist College and Seminary is dedicated to education. The annual Homecoming 5K Road Run started and finished on the new polyurethane track. Ben Weiss'87,Cliff Roop'91,and Tim Walters'87 organized the run of22 participants. Robert Moore and Victoria Johnson ran the besttimes in the men's and women's categories. Jennifer(Stephens'88)Behm is presently employed in the Human Resources Depart- mentof GRACO Corporation in eastern Pennsylvania. Alumni whosupport and who have taken part in MISexperiences gathered for theirsecond annual breakfast.
