In 1967he was assistanttothe directorofPresbyterian Councilfor Chaplainsand Military Personnel in Washington,DC.In 1973he becamethe director and served in thatcapacityforfive years. Robert was buried in Arlington National Cemetery,Arlington,Virginia,on July8,1991. His wife,Carolyn,survives.
