Lady Jacket Volleyball enjoyed a fine season on the court with a record of 21-7 overall and 9-2 in the Mid-Ohio Conference.The women are tied for second place in the MOC with Mt. Vernon Nazarene,one game behind Rio Grande.The Lady Jackets have won seven of their past eight matches and are an impressive 14-2 at home. Cedarville hosted the NCCAA District III Tournament on October 22-23 in the Athletic Center. Cedarville cross-country teams continue to excel in the NAIA this fall with the men's team ranked as high as 20th and the women's team ranked 9th—the highest ranking that any Cedarville College women's team has ever had. Last year, the men's team finished in a best-ever 11th place at the NAIA Nationals and most of those runners have returned. The high-ranked Lady Jacket runners have won team titles at Asbury, Cedarville (Friendship Invitational), and Wilmington. Heritage Corner Harvey Auld,College Trustee and Friend, Dies Funeral services were held for Harvey Auld '29 on Friday, August 27, 1993 at the First Presbyterian Church in Springfield, Ohio. Mr. Auld was a retired banker and served on the Cedarville College board of trustees from 1945 to 1953. He is survived by two sisters—Josephine Auld Sipe'30 of Dayton and Wilda Auld Johnston'32 of Springfield. Mr. Auld was known for his friendly smile and appreciation for Cedarville College. We extend our deepest sympathy to the family. Heritage Wander Brown County Lenora Skinnell MacMillan '32 and Becky Trumbo Guth enjoy an ice cream cone as they explore the sights and shops of Nashville, Indiana in historic Brown County, Indiana. Fifteen Heritage Alumni enjoyed the one-day trip which included dinner at the Nashville House Restaurant. Fifty Year Cluster Reunion Set for Fall'94 T he Alumni Association will host a 50 year cluster reunion to be held at Homecoming 1994 which will include members from the class of 1943, 1944,and 1945. MIS U date A team of nine Cedarville College students led by Byron '67 and Libby Ross Shearer'70 went to Zambia, Africa this summer for four weeks. Using puppets,they conducted three weeks of children's meetings in three different churches in the capital city of Lusaka. Literally hundreds of people came to the meetings, and the team spent hours discipling many who trusted Christ as Savior. They worked with missionaries and nationals and experienced the incomparable joy that comes from sensing the blessing of God. Four Cedarville College nursing students,two student translators, and Sandra Pratt'86 spent five weeks in Amazonas, Brazil during the summer.The team of women worked in a village hospital on the Amazon river and participated in a youth ministry at the mission church. The students provided medical care to the nationals as well as ministered to the spiritual needs of Brazilians. Many became Christians as a result of this MIS ministry. 7WINTER'93
