Frank'68 and Barbara Lepine Jenista '70 have returned to the Washington,D.C. area after four years at the American embassy in Manila,Philippines. Frank has been selected for Senior Seminar,the U.S. government's most advanced professional development program for senior foreign policy and national security officials. 70s Jim Bates'73 is an accounting professor at Mount Empire Community College in Tennessee. He has co- authored a textbook and designed a course to help accounting majors prepare for the ACAT comprehensive accountancy examination. Tom'74 and Karen Syphers Knowles'73 reside in Bourbonnais,Illinois with their two children, Erin and Ryan.Tom is chairman of the Division of Education and director of teacher education at Olivet Nazarene University. Karen is a teacher at Aroma Park Elementary School. John Street'76 and Tim Pasma'77 were instructors for a biblical counseling retreat in September 1996 at Skyview Ranch in Millersburg, Ohio.The retreat was presented by Clearcreek Chapel Counseling Ministries of Springboro,Ohio, where John is pastor. Tim serves as pastor ofLaRue Baptist Church in LaRue,Ohio. Both are certified members of the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors. Michael Davenport'77 has accepted a pastoral position at Woodmont Presbyterian Church in Nashville,Tennessee. His wife,Jan(Hallett'73), teaches second grade at Pioneer Christian Academy. The Davenports previously lived in Pennsylvania. Linda Franson Overturf'77N is a staff nurse for Patterson Clinic at Cedarville College. She and her husband,Roger'75,reside in Beavercreek,Ohio. Bryan Waggoner'77 is associate pastor of Bethesda Baptist Church in Brownsburg,Indiana. In July and August 1996,Bryan led a team of32 high school teens and ten adult sponsors in an outreach ministry in Oswego,Illinois. The Summer Mission in Teen Evangelism(SMITE)team distributed literature to nearly 7,000 homes and experienced thejoy ofleading 80 children and one adult to Christ. Drawing on 16 years experience in this ministry, Bryan has published The SMITE Leader's Guide, which explains how to implement such a trip. Bryan and his wife,Sheri(Levin '80),have served in youth ministry at Bethesda Baptist Church for over 13 years.They have four children, Jessica(12),J.B.(9),Caleb(6),and Korinna(4). Chris Rees Howard'78N graduated from Miami University on August 23, 1996 with a master's degree in school psychology. She has accepted a teaching assistantship at Miami while completing her educational specialist degree. Chris was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, an education honorary society. Chris resides in Hamilton,Ohio with her family. 80s Keith Willhite'80 has been appointed director of Dallas Seminary's doctor of ministry program.A graduate of Dallas Seminary and Purdue University, he served in pastoral ministry for ten years and has taught at Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary and Denver Seminary. Keith and his wife, Denise,reside in Rowlett,Texas. Randy Strobridge'81 retired from the U.S.Coast Guard after 23 years ofservice. He was most recently stationed in Cheboygan,Michigan as executive officer on the ice breaker Mackinaw.Randy and his wife, Debbie(Bubel'83N),reside in Grand Haven,Michigan with their four children, Sarah(13),Elizabeth (11), Andrew (9), and Rachael(6). Alan Geist'83 has been appointed director of athletics at Mount St. Clare College in Iowa.He was assistant athletic director at the University of Mobile in Alabama for the last four years. Alan also has served as assistant commissioner with the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference since 1995. During his tenure at the University of Mobile,the athletic program was ranked third in the NAIA in the 1995-96 Sears Director's Cup standings, a competition sponsored by Sears and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).Alan holds a master's degree in sports managementfrom the United States Sports Academy in Daphne,Alabama(1989). He and his wife,Lynn (Robinson '91),reside in Clinton,Iowa. Rodney Kane'83 earned a graduate degree in 1996 from Lynchburg College in Virginia. He and his family reside in Appomattox,Virginia. Kirk Keller'83 was recently presented an Excellence in Law award by the Bellbrook Optimist Club(Ohio). Kirk is a deputy with the Greene County Sheriff's Office. He and his wife,Elaine(Kandel'85N), reside in Cedarville with their three children, Justin, Nathan,and Teresa. Elaine serves as secretary in Cedarville's Department of Health and Physical Education. Dan'83 and Connie O'Dell Snyder'86N reside in Marcellus, New York. Dan sells and administers pension plans and provides financial services for business owners and individuals. Connie is a real estate agent. Kevin'84 and Jennifer Stork Brueilly'84 have settled in St. Augustine,Florida. Kevin is a staff physical therapist at Flagler Hospital. Jennifer holds a master's degree in social work from Temple University and works at Hospice Northeast. Jeff Mullinix'85 has accepted a call to pastor Hogan Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. He and his wife, Susan, previously lived in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Dan George'86 is senior pastor of Desert View Baptist Church in Parker,Arizona. Doug Iverson'87N is a second-year law student at the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma.He is also a part-time law clerk at Wright&Wright in downtown Tulsa. Tom Peterson'87 was promoted in May 1996 to the position of general manager ofthe Hagerstown, Maryland district ofThe Prudential. This district covers all of Maryland west ofBaltimore,West Virginia, and southern Pennsylvania.The Petersons now live in Boonsboro, Maryland. Bruce Sparks'88 became the senior pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Toledo,Ohio on July 1, 1996. He was formerly the senior pastor of Newhall Baptist Church in Wyoming,Michigan. David Stoner'89 has been promoted to main branch reference librarian in the Clearwater Public Library System.He and his wife,Sara(Tilla '91), live in Seminole,Florida with their son,David(3). 90s Barbara Paxson Anderson'90 began working for the Indiana Historical Society in February 1996.She serves as development assistant in the Community Relations Division and assists with event planning and the capital campaign. Barbara resides in Indianapolis,Indiana. JeffBrooks'90N serves on the pastoral staff of Atlantic Shores Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He and his wife,Robyn,have four children: Aaron(14),Barbara(12), Nathanial(11),and Jessica(6). Eric Fillinger'90 was inducted into the National Association ofIntercollegiate Athletics(NAIA)Hall of Fame on November 16, 1996.Coach Elvin King presented this high honor to Eric during the NAIA induction ceremony at the University of Wisconsin in Kenosha. Eric was an accomplished cross country athlete at Cedarville and was inducted into the Cedarville College Hall ofFame earlier this year. Eric's success on his feet led him to complete his work at the Ohio College ofPodiatric Medicine to become a"foot doctor." He and his wife,Julie(Bowling'91),live in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Brian Humphreys'90 graduated from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary with a master of divinity degree on May 11, 1996. He and his wife,Sharon(Senay '90), have settled in Kirtland, Ohio. Ryan'91 and Monica James Bowen'92 have moved to Cedarville, Ohio from Virginia. Ryan is a systems analyst in the Computer Services Department at the College. Dwight Davidson '91 graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in May 1996 and received the Robert L. Maitland Award in New Testament exegesis. He was also awarded the seminary's Parish Pulpit Fellowship, which will fund a year of postgraduate study at Charles University and at the International Baptist Theological Seminary in the Czech Republic. Dwight,his wife,Kari(Kaelber '93), and their son, Adam(1), moved to Prague in September. Greg'91 and LeAnn Barenscheer Wafford '90 have moved from Indiana to Athens,Texas, where Greg has taken a senior pastorate position. Steve Alexander'92 is a supervisor with National City Mortgage. He and his wife, Diane, were married in May 1994 and reside in Miamisburg,Ohio. Butch'92 and Dawn Hicks Davis'92 have settled in Ticonderoga, New York. Butch teaches high school mathematics and Bible at Mountainside Christian Academy. Allen '92 and Beth Radcliff McElroy'93 reside in Kettering, Ohio.On June 8, 1996,Allen graduated from The Ohio State College of Medicine and has begun a five-year residency in general surgery at Wright State University. Cliff Roop'92 has moved to Fort Wayne,Indiana. After teaching at Orange Christian Academy in Cleveland,Ohio for three years, he has taken a position at Blackhawk Christian School. Cliff coachesjunior varsity volleyball and teaches elementary physical education and high school health. Amy Whalen'92 is an admissions counselor with Philadelphia College of Bible in Pennsylvania.She attends Davisville Baptist Church, where she is active on a puppet ministry team. Tim Alley'93 is a sales support specialist with Matrix Systems in Dayton,Ohio. Christine Jones'93 resides in Fillmore, Illinois and works as a secretary at Unique Novelty Manufacturing, Inc., a stuffed toy factory. In August 1994,she opened a piano studio and teaches private lessons to more than 30 students. Todd Lee'93 is a trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol. In August 1996,he was promoted to the rank of sergeant and serves as assistant post commander in Wilmington,Ohio.Todd and his wife,Debbie (Glezen '87),live in Jamestown with their three daughters, Kimberlie(9), Karie(8), and Kelie(6). Shelly Sutton '93 is director of marketing and public relations for WFCJ Radio in Dayton,Ohio.She is also the weekday morning newsperson on the station's "Morningview," which airs from 6:00 to 9:00 a.m.She spent three weeks ofAugust 1996 in Puerto Rico, working with Christian radio stations based in San Juan. Jennifer Butler'94 is a graduate assistant at Michigan State University. She is pursuing a master's degree in communication studies. Allison Stolar'94 teaches high school Spanish at Dayton Christian School. She resides in Kettering, Ohio and attends Washington Heights Baptist Church. Kristina Bennick'96 hasjoined the staff of Cedarville College as secretary/receptionist for CDR Radio. Keith Hamer'96 is a staff announcer for CDR Radio, the broadcast ministry of Cedarville College. Bowe Hoy'96 is a sales and marketing manager for The Allegro Group in Dayton,Ohio.The Allegro Group provides various Internet services to companies around the world. Marcus'96 and Susan Beach Varotti'93 have moved to Sao Paulo, Brazil. Marcus is employed at an investment bank,Banco Patrimonio, which is a division of Salomon Brothers. Susan teaches English for a language school, as well as privately out of their home. Todd Geist'84 wed Shawna Hornsby November 11, 1995.The couple reside in Cincinnati, Ohio, where Todd is a finance manager at Proctor&Gamble.Shawna is associate editor for the Cincinnati Academy of Medicine. William Bany'86 and Dawn Badenhop werejoined in marriage August 3, 1996.The couple enjoyed a seven-day Carribbean cruise for their honeymoon. Pete Wright'86 and Sonya McKee were united as one in Christ December 29, 1995 in Knoxville, Tennessee.The couple honeymooned in the Great Smoky Mountains.
