Norman'67 and Louise Stutesman Barnard'67 have returned to the States from Singapore for furlough and are living in Owosso,Michigan.Their oldest daughter, Heather'93,is teaching at a missionary boarding school in Malaysia and their son, Brad,is a student at Cedarville College. Twin daughters Shonda and Holly are freshman at Cornerstone College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Shannon Barnard'94N married Stephen Krise'96, and they are living in Xenia,Ohio. Chuck Truxton'67and his wife, Bev,are home in the States for a short furlough.They arrived in Laurel Springs, New Jersey in July 1996 and will return to Nigeria in January 1997. While in Nigeria,their daughter Martha graduated from Hillcrest School where Chuck has been on the Board of Governors for the last six years. Martha will join older sister Jenny at Messiah College this school year. This furlough time will allow the Truxtons to settle Martha in school while they renew contacts with family,friends, and supporting churches. Douglas'77N and Linda Carlton Wilson'77N are appointees to England with the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism.They went on a missions outreach trip to Great Britain in 1994 and felt the Lord calling them to surrender their lives to reach the people of England who live in spiritual darkness. Their daughter Holly is a student at Cedarville and daughter Stephanie is in high school in Mogadore,Ohio where they currently live. Vini Jacquery'82 was featured on the"Focus On The Family"radio program on September 12, 1996 to give a presentation titled, Children In Crisis. The purpose of the broadcast was to explain the plight of children in Brazil and the ministry he leads to reach "the least of these." Vini and his wife,Alexandra, work in Brazil with International Reach,an organization Vini founded to help the many homeless children of Brazil. Nathan Bobbitt'90 is a working in a closed middle eastern country among radical Shiite muslims. He completed his M.Div.from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and worked on the staff of a nondenominational church in Chicago in order to prepare for his work. Bobby'90 and Sara Sweetland Hile'92 were back in the United States for a short trip during November 1996 They returned to purchase equipment for their new ministry, airing the "Children's Bible Hour"radio program in Durban,South Africa. Bobby met with Cedarville College professors to learn all he could about the computer program he will be using in the studio. He also presented the "Children's Bible Hour" ministry in several of their supporting churches. Dwight'91 and Kari Kaelber Davidson'93 left for thc Czech Republic on September 23, 1996. Dwight graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in May with an M.Div. and won the Robert L. Maitland Award in New Testament Exegesis. He also won the seminary' Parish Pulpit Fellowship which will fund a year of post- graduate study in theology and ecumenics at Charles University and International Baptist Theological Seminary in Prague. Kari also will be taking classes and editing part-time. Rebecca Reich Hannon'92 and her husband,David, are appointees to Ecuador under Gospel Missionary Union.They are excited about being involved in the ministry at a camp in Mangayacu,which is located at the edge of the eastern jungle,3,000 feet above sea level and about four hours from the capital city of Quito. David and Becky are also pleased to announce the addition of Eric David to their family on May 29, 1996. Troy Hamilton'95 left for Mozambique,Africa in September 1996. He will spend one year working with medical missionary Dr. Charles Woodrow among the tribal people of Nampula and the Makua refugees who live in the surrounding bush areas. IN MEMORY Or Gerald Bradford'52N joined his Savior September 8, 1996 at the age of69. Gerald was living in Carson City, Nevada at the time ofhis passing. Harold Carpenter,Jr.'57 was ushered into glory on October 18, 1995 at the age of66,after battling lymphatic lymphoma for 15 years. We extend our sympathy to his wife, Marilyn,and the rest of the family in North Jackson,Ohio. Jack Lowstetter,Jr.'76 passed away suddenly October 12, 1996 at the age of43 in Fairfax,Virginia. He was a technical writer for a U.S. government H.M.O.in Washington,D.C.Our condolences extend to his brother, Dennis'74,and sister-in-law,Judy Cline Lowstetter'75. Steve Wildasin'97N went home to be with the Lord November 3, 1996 at the age of23. Steve was a senior biology major at Cedarville College when he was injured in a car accident and died a few days later. Our heartfelt sympathy extends to his family.
