30(d1)..1ifift r kSit'.ur! For33 years in a row,Dan Parks'64 has not missed a Homecoming celebration!He currently resides in Katy, Texas, where he is a senior systems analyst. Congratulations are offered by Wendy Miller Orchard'91 ofthe Alumni Office. Debra Moody Stewart'81 was on hand to sign and number limited edition prints ofhistoric Founders Hall during Homecoming 1997festivities. The Alumni Council commissioned Debbie to create an originalpainting ofFounders Hall. Both the originalartwork and500full-color 18"x 24"prints were debuted. The original painting was sold in a silent auction and several prints were purchased by alumni,adding over $7,300 to the endowed principal ofthe Alumni Scholarship Fund. Prints are still available for $50each. Contact the Alumni Office at 1-800-837-2566 for more information. Allproceeds benefit the AlumniScholarship Fund. Alumni,students,and friends enjoyed the unique acapella and acoustical sounds ofGLAD in concert as the last official Homecoming eventof 1997. Brenda Inion,a nursing major from West Chester,Pennsylvania, was named 1997Homecoming Queen. She was escorted by her father throughout the weekend. More than 25 alumni,faculty, and students donned their running gear for the 5K Road Run.Don Dunstan'67was the first alumnus to cross the finish line. Clancy Cruise, president ofthe class of 1987, shares a moment with PresidentPaul Dixon at the 10 Year Reunion. Over30Alpha Chi alumnireturned to the 'Ville for a Saturday morning breakfast. A special thanks to Kevin Sims'74,student advisor to the organization, for planning this40 year reunion! Senior Reed Faulkner maintains control ofthe ball during the varsity soccer match against Philadelphia College of Bible. The game-winning goal wasscored with just 1:02remaining,for an exciting 2-1 Yellow Jacket victory! Fi 4 ach year alumni are invited to participate during Alumni Week in Chapel as speakers and musicians. Homecoming 1997 featured Jack Einwechter'84,Lynn Johnson '77,Ginny Decker Potter '80,and Craig Miller'79 as guest speakers.Special mus c was provided by Kezia McNeal'92,Brad Rickard '85,Dave'82 and Darlene Fitch Murdoch '69,and Renee Bowen Peterson '87.
