Inspire, Winter 1998-99

Shelly Sutton'93 has taken a one-year leave of absence from WFCJ Radio in Dayton, Ohio to serve with missionary radio HUB World Radio in Ecuador. Working in the English Language Broadcasting Service, she hosts the morning program,"Morning in the Mountains," and assists with news and production responsibilities. Dan Treier'93 completed his master of theology in New Testament at Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary and is now pursuing a Ph.D. in systematic theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. He is also director of curriculum for the Institute of Theological Studies. Dan Ernst'94 is a youth pastor at Washington Heights Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio. His areas of ministry include junior and senior high youth, outreach, and the church's Evangelism Explosion program. Brian '94 and Traci Emes Good'95 reside in Forest Park, Ohio. Brian works as a member of the deduction management team in the customer financial services department of Proctor and Gamble. Traci is an assistant at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. Jay LeBlanc'94 is minister of music at Southgate Baptist Church in Springfield, Ohio. He and his wife, Shannon, have been married three years. Lori Kate Lowenhar Nessim'94 is a music teacher. She and her husband, David, live in Israel. Rita Swartzentruber'94 is a foster care social worker with Christian Children's Home of Ohio in Wooster. Randall East'95 is an account executive with The Allegro Group in Dayton, Ohio. Jeremy Grinnell'95 has completed his position as interim youth pastor at Baldwin Heights Baptist Church in Jenison, Michigan. He is now working as funding and alumni relations officer for Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary. He is married to Denise Maronn '92. Paul'95 and Libby Kennedy Miner'97 live in Cumberland, Maine. Last summer they spent ten days in Washington and Oregon. They especially enjoyed whitewater rafting down the Deshutes River through high desert country and building sandcastles on the longest beach in the world. They also visited Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier. In the last year, Paul has had two surgeries to remove melanocytes, the beginnings of cancer, from his face. The Miners are thankful for God's watchful care during this experience. Michele Zimmerman'95N is lead teacher at The Day Academy pre- school and daycare in Springboro, Ohio. Amy Davis Biggs'96 is a sixth grade teacher in Dayton, Ohio. Jennifer Gault'96N is an ultrasound technologist at Clinic Imaging Center in Greensburg, Indiana. Joy Gilson '96 is a marketing assistant at Standard Publishing in Cincinnati, Ohio. Nathan Miller'96 resides in Kettering, Ohio. He is a news editor for WKEF-News 22. Jonathan Hiembo'97 has enlisted in the United States Air Force. He is studying Korean at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California. loran Scott'97 works at Winnetka Bible Church in Winnetka, Illinois and attends Trinity Seminary. Tim Williams'97 graduated from the Arabics School at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California. He is stationed at Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo, Texas, where he is continuing his linguistic training. Eric Bedillion '98 is a product technician for Cardone Industries. He resides in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Jessica Stuenzi'98 is an ICU nurse at Community Hospital in Springfield, Ohio. Susan West'98 is a self-employed piano teacher and resides in Fairborn, Ohio. ONE IN CHRIST John Kesler'72 and Eileen Hostletter were married November 16, 1997. They reside in Bone Gap, Illinois. Jill Wyse'88 and David Winn were married June 6, 1998 in Columbus, Ohio. After a honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple settled in Pickerington, Ohio. Jill is deputy director of the state and local government commission of Ohio. David is director of housing and student affairs at Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio. Greg Hobaugh '90 and Kathy Granberg were marred August 23, 1997. Greg will soon complete a master of divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has also begun coursework on a master of theology in apologetics. Kathy works at a graphic arts company and is pursuing a master's degree in Christian counseling. The Hobaughs reside in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania. Meg Wheeler'90 and Ron Derrer were married August 15, 1998 and reside in Grand Ledge, Michigan. Ron is a doctoral student at Michigan State University. Monica Bolet '91 and Michael Pasquale'95 were married June 27, 1998 and honeymooned in Aruba. The couple lives in East Lansing, Michigan while Mike finishes his Ph.D. in linguistics from Michigan State University. They have been accepted as missionaries with Baptist Mid- Missions for Bibles International. Randy Oswald '91 and Cathleen Patrick were married September 19, 1998.The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia and has settled in Wooster, Ohio. Randy is the Year 2000 project manager at Signal Corporation. Cathleen is a registered nurse at Akron General Hospital. The wedding party included Pama-Lynn Oswald Hartman '90, Matt Benefiel '91, Kelly Fath '91,and Jeff Nitengale '91. Dawn Phillips '91 and Brent Byall were married June 27, 1998 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico. The bridal party included Cedarville alumni Diane Rank Smith '92,Gina Jamora Wilberger '93,and Tammy Fausnight Koontz'93. Rosemary Pletcher'93 and Darryl Swartz were married October 11, 1997 at Wayside Chapel in San Antonio, Texas, where they reside. Rosemary is a registered nurse in medical and cardiac intensive care at University Hospital, and she is certified in critical care nursing. Darryl works in aerospace physiology and human performance with the Air Force. The couple recently returned from a short-term missions trip to Romania, where they participated in an evangelistic English camp for university students. Lisa Barnitz'94 and Paul Bentivegna were married April 4, 1998. They reside in Columbus, Ohio, where Lisa works in the commercial division of Fifth Third Bank of Columbus. Paul is the network engineer of the Roadrunner Project for Time Warner Communication. Georgia Hickman '94 and Chris Purdom were married March 15, 1997. Georgia is a graduate student at The Ohio State University, and Chris is a driver for Concord Fabricators. The Purdoms reside in Hilliard, Ohio. Lori Kate Lowenhar'94 and David Nessim were married May 16, 1998 in Indiana. Lori grew up in Elkhart, and David was reared in Israel. But God brought them together in England, where Lori was performing with a Jewish music ministry and David was conducting business. Many of their friends and families from thirteen states and several countries celebrated with them on their special day. They honeymooned in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Florida. The couple has settled in Nahariya, Israel. Marilyn Totten'94 and Will Deaton were married October 3, 1998 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. They reside in West Carrollton, Ohio. Marilyn is a customer service representative with Met Life. Randall East'95 and Molly Brandenburg '96 were married June 20, 1998 and spent their honeymoon in Cincinnati, Ohio. Randall is an account executive at Allegro, Inc. in Dayton, Ohio. Molly teaches kindergarten at Emmanuel Christian Academy in Springfield, Ohio. Todd Entner'95 and Dawn Merritt'96 were married August 8, 1998 at Washington Heights Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio. Thile Holloway'95 and David Kreider were marred July 25, 1998 in Kenosha, Wisconsin at historic Kemper Chapel. The Kreiders reside in Monheim, Pennsylvania. The Palmers reside in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Heather Bossley '96 and Steve Douglas were married May 30, 1998 in a military ceremony. Steve is a second lieutenant in the United States Army.They are currently stationed at Fort Leonard-Wood, Missouri, but will move to Fort Hood, Texas in February 1999. Heidi Corners'96 and Tim Overdorf'98 were married June 13, 1998 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Toledo, Ohio. They enjoyed a honeymoon at Cedar Point and now make their home in Xenia, Ohio. Tim is a network technician at Cedarville College, and Heidi is a secretary. Daniel Nelles'96 and Kristen Frederick'96 were married July 25, 1998 and honeymooned in the Smokies. They have settled in Scottsdale, Arizona. Daniel will attend Phoenix Seminary next spring. Andi Schimmenti'96 and Robert Pacecca were married July 11, 1998 and reside in Florida. Andi teaches mathematics at a Christian high school. Bob is an assistant youth pastor at First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks. Bob and Andi are assembling a teen team for a mission trip to Mexico. Andi writes, "It's been awesome to be a part of influencing teenagers to experience the mission field!" Stacey Wilkinson '96 and Eric Meidel were married June 6, 1998. Eric works at Andersen Consulting in Northbrook, Illinois as a business/technology researcher. They attend Village Church of Gurnee, Illinois, where they reside. Elliott Gilham'97 and Sara Howell'97 were married July 11, 1998 and honeymooned in Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. Dan Hatfield'97 and Sarah Gross'98 were married June 27, 1998 and spent their honeymoon in Aruba. They have made their home in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. Dan is a systems engineer with Electronic Data Systems. Sarah is a registered nurse with the Hershey Medical Center. Timothy Haylett'97 and Wendy Garber'97 were married June 20, 1997 and honeymooned in New England. They have settled in Puyallup, Washington, where Tim is a first lieutenant in the United States Army. Wendy is a nurse for an ear, nose, and throat specialist. Ben Stewart'97 and Kara Niemotka'96 were married July 5, 1997 in Chicago, Illinois. They honeymooned in Scotland and have settled in Westerville, Ohio. Ben is a mortgage marketing manager at Credit Bureau of Columbus, and Kara works for a law firm. Natalie Vandemark'97 and Clifton Stokes were married July 4, 1998 and live in Grand Blanc, Michigan. They work at GM's Mid-Lux Car Group in Flint. Joe Williams'97 and Gena Lamoreaux '98 were married August 8, 1998. They live in Findlay, Ohio, where Joe is a sales representative with Motion Industries. Laurie Anna'98 and Andrew Cooper'98 were married August 22, 1998.They reside in Ellington, Connecticut. Daniel Hicks'98 and Erin Johns'98 were married August 15, 1998. Rob Bouwens'98, Robert McDole'98,and Samantha Polgardy'98 were in the wedding party. After a honeymoon in Barbados, Daniel and Erin moved to Greenville, South Carolina, where both work at AlliedSignal Aerospace.
