The family serves with Campus Bible Fellowship in Mankato, Minnesota. Kevin '84 and Jennifer Stork Brueilly '84 announce the birth of Alexis Rene on June 29, 1999. Kevin is a physical therapist for St. Luke's Hospital/Mayo Clinic, and Jennifer stays at home in St. Augustine, Florida. Colin '85 and Dianne Noggle Lord'88N announce the birth of Benjamin David on July 24, 1999. He was welcomed home by his siblings, Maria (6), Colin (5), Jonathan (3), and Natasha (2). The family resides in Churdan, Iowa. Doug'85 and Chrissy Friedkin Miller'88 announce the birth of Alex Richard on September 16, 1999. He joins his two brothers, Drew(7) and Aaron (4), at home in Springfield, Ohio. Doug is working on his doctorate at Ohio State University, and Chrissy is staying at home after 11 years of teaching. Megan, Michael, and John awaited her arrival in Coconut Creek, Florida. Steve works with Tenet Healthcare Corporation as the director of finance at Florida Medical Center. Mike Roberts'89 and his wife, MaryAnn, announce the birth of Kaylee BreAnn on October 7, 1998. By God's grace, mercy, and goodness, Kaylee arrived at the Roberts home on July 27, 1999. Her brother, Joel, welcomed her home in Colville, Washington. David '89 and Sara Tilla Stoner '91 announce the birth of Nicholas Clayton on June 17, 1999. He joins his two brothers, David (6)and Jake (1), in Seminole, Florida. Glen Bowman'90 and his wife, Maria, announce the birth of Steven Glen on May 12, 1999. Glen is an assistant professor of history at Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. In 1998, Glen was named runner-up for the Professor of the Year Award at Chowan College. Maria telecommutes for U.S. Bancorp. Shaun '90 and Diane Davison Hannay'92 announce the birth of Luke Daniel. He was born August 25, 1999 and joins his sister, Abigail (2), in Westerlo, New York. Mike '91 and Debbie Polsdorfer Koenig '91 announce the birth of Emily Katherine on September 8, 1999. She joins her big brother, Matthew, at their new home in Trophy Club, Texas. Heidi Gerber Kreider '91 and her husband, Chad, announce the birth of Emily Grace on May 20, 1999. Her brother, Eric (2), awaited her arrival in Winona Lake, Indiana. Heidi is a homemaker, and Chad is a paramedic. Tricia Cummings Nichols '91 and her husband, Jon, announce the birth of Jonathan Aaron on February 19, 1999. Tricia teaches first grade in the Franklin City School District and completed a master's degree in educational leadership from Wright State University in 1998. Jon is a production manager at Amtex. They reside in Franklin, Ohio. Diane Mitchell Pruett '91 and her husband, Joseph, announce the birth of Joshua Micah on June 25, 1999. His brother, Joseph (2), welcomed him home in Pocahontas, Illinois. William '92 and Shelley Kincaid Hauler'93 announce the birth of Ryan William on October 19, 1998. His sister, Aubrey (2), awaited his arrival in Indianapolis, Indiana. 10 WINTER 1999 Jeff'92N and Regan Foster Hunter '95N announce the birth of Bailey Grace on July 9, 1999. The Hunters reside in Rockford, Ohio, where Jeff works in quality control for Haviland Drainage Products, and Regan works part-time for a nursing home. Allen '92 and Beth Radcliff McElroy'93 announce the birth of Mary Katherine on June 26, 1999. Her brother, Ford (2), is excited to have a sister join him in Kettering, Ohio. Todd '92 and Marla Fuller Roberts'92 announce the birth of Madison Michaela on May 2, 1999. Mario had been teaching at Springfield Christian School, but now enjoys staying home with Madison and working as the school librarian. Todd works in fuel product marketing for Speedway SuperAmerica, a division of Marathon Ashland Petroleum. They reside in Springfield, Ohio. Kerry Unrau Vander Wel'92 and her husband, Mike, announce the birth of Anneka Patrice on October 22, 1998.The Vander WeIs are living in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where Mike is part of the leaders for manufacturing program at MIT. Kerry quit teaching third grade to stay home with their daughter. The Vander WeIs will return to Seattle in the spring of 2001. Dave'92 and Carolyn Frisbie Weber '91 announce the birth of Lance David on October 10, 1998. Dave is a senior financial analyst for American Water Works, and Carolyn is a homemaker and does some part- time information systems consulting. They reside in Barrington, New Jersey. Doug Wenger'92N and his wife, Angela, announce the birth of Daniel Martin on June 18, 1999. Doug is a HVAC service technician with Roger Storer Plumbing, and Angela stays at home in Springfield, Ohio. John '93 and Maribeth Tramel Jacobson '93 announce the birth of Emma Kate on June 16, 1999. Big brothers Jake(3)and Luke(1) welcomed her home in Fort Worth, Texas. John is the director of finance at the Medical Center of Arlington, and Maribeth cares for their children at home. They are members of McKinney Bible Church. Bill'93 and Leah Rosenvold Montgomery'94 announce the birth of Emma Jordan on July 5, 1999. The family resides in Delaware, Ohio. Jay'94 and Kristen Sechrist Burkholder '95 announce the births of their two children; Nathan was born on July 18, 1996 and Hannah on August 28, 1998. Jay is a fifth grade teacher in New Carlisle, Ohio and recently completed a master's degree in administration from the University of Dayton. Kristen enjoys being at home to care for the children. Devin '94 and Kimberly Moyniham Cheek '95 announce the birth of Michaela Susanne on July 8, 1999. The family resides in Beech Grove, Indiana. Paul teaches fourth grade and is a part-time youth pastor. In the summer of 2000, the Pirries will be leaving for China, where Paul will be teaching English. Stephanie Hunsuker Poulson '94 and her husband, Jeffery, announce the birth of Caleb Wesley on July 17, 1999. The family currently lives in Coarsegold, California, but plans to depart next summer for Brazil as tribal missionaries to the Amazon region with New Tribes Mission. Ginger Hedlund Banks'95 and her husband, Charles, announce the birth of Sarah Elizabeth on August 19, 1999. The Banks were married May 23, 1998 and have made their home in Columbus, Ohio. Charles is a landscaper, and Ginger stays at home with Sarah. Brad '95 and Amy Martin Francis '96 announce the birth of Kiah Allyn on November 26, 1998. She joins the family in Henderson, Kentucky, where Brad operates his family-owned construction business. Amy stays home with Kiah while doing free-lance artwork part-time. Chris'95 and Brenda Royer Handel'95 announce the birth of Mark Andrew on July 26, 1999. The family resides in Crofton, Maryland. Mark '95 and JaneIle Miller Mazelin '95 announce the birth of Caitlin Mae on August 3, 1999. Mark is the assistant network coordinator at Cedarville College, and JaneIle stays at home with Caitlin. El'95 and Kara Ward Seabra'96 announce the birth of Kayla JaneIle on February 14, 1999. El is an information analyst for EDS, and Kara stays at home after teaching for two years at Worthington Christian Elementary. The family resides in Hilliard, Ohio. Jennifer Sloan Tabor '95 and her husband, Eric, announce the birth of Benjamin Lee on June 2, 1999. He joins Ryan (1)at home in Crossville, Tennessee, where Jennifer is completing her master's degree in social work at the University of Tennessee. Eric is employed by Food Lion, Inc. Cynthia Thompson DeLorme'96 and her husband, Keith, announce the birth of Andrew Murrett on October 27, 1997. The family resides in Flanders, New Jersey. Focus ON THE FIELD Bob '59 and Esther Stutesman Howder'62N serve with ABWE in Southeast Asia as a part of the Grand Rapids Baptist extension program that reaches the Japanese in Singapore. In October, they had the privilege of visiting Japan, where they had served from 1964-1994. John '64 and Judy Marcellus Bigelow '67 are enjoying their furlough from Alaska. Although it was hard leaving their congregation, they know the importance of visiting supporting churches, family, and friends. Their youngest son, Corey, is enrolled as a freshman at Cedarville College. Joyce Rudduck '66 expresses concern for her church congregation and leaders in Bangladesh. Pray that the Christian school building project will receive the necessary funds. Joyce is enjoying teaching English to 13 students. Joe'68 and Sharon Tallman Hollaway'68 are thankful that God has provided a building team with diverse talents. They pray the building will be done by Christmas. They rejoice that at a recent youth activity many teens heard the gospel and six acted on what they heard. Pray that the parents of these teens will not forbid them to come back. The Hollaways are excited to have been granted a five-year residency permit in Ireland. John Rueck '68 and his wife, Faye, are grateful foi the many Five-Day Clubs that were held during the summer. Pray for the kids in Hungary that have heard the gospel. Nancy Towle Jones'69 and her husband, Roy, serve with ABWE in Coslada, Spain. Pray for the people who received a tract at the annual city fair. Roy and Nancy are experiencing an "empty nest" feeling, but are thankful for the past year that they had with their sons. Edith Phillips Sartor '70 and her husband, Thomas, attended a summer training program in Tulsa, Oklahoma that has challenged them with the potential of adult literacy classes as an avenue of teaching the Word. A specific matter of prayer is that currently the Bangladesh government does not grant visas designated for literacy teachers. Sallie Pickard Fogle '77N and her husband, Larry, share that Bibles International is searching for a new director. Pray that the right man will be found quickly. Also, pray that the mortgage debt of their new building will be eliminated by year-end. Kent Craig '80 and his wife, Kelly, serve with ABWE in the Philippines. They hosted many ministry teams and mission internships during the summer. They were fortunate to be able to stay in their home during the 20 inches of rain that caused many floods and evacuations. Also, Kent attended a strategy planning conference in September to chart a course for the next decade of ministry. Ruth Yocom '80N is on furlough from her work as a nurse in Bangladesh with ABWE. She was encouraged at the ABWE Missionary Enrichment Conference and Training Institute in July. Dave '81 and Carol Sue Cox Merkh'82 are serving at Fellowship Baptist Church in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. Dave has accepted the full-time pastorate while the senior pastor is on sabbatical. Differences between the United States and Brazil have necessitated dramatic hanges in their daily life. Pray that their whole family can adjust easily. Carol Sue is only home-schooling one child now as they have decided to send the other four to Kings Christian School. Faith Kenoyer'83 praises God for a full staff of qualified people at the school in Cairo, Egypt. Her summer was spent concentrating on language study and teaching a two-day seminar for Sunday school teachers. She is thankful for an Egyptian Awana representative who will train new leaders and assist with the established clubs. Becki Payton Konuch '84 and her husband, Tim, are being burdened for another venue of ministry in Great Britain. They ask for prayer as they deal with the many adjustments to the British culture after living in the Philippines. Jill Slayton Puett'88 and her husband, Stephen, rejoice that summer youth camps and VBS were a great success. They moved into the Tain Bible Church building in October, which was an answer to prayer through sacrificial giving. They are currently enjoying home ministry here in the States, after having served one term in South America with UFM International.
