Lynell Smith '88 serves with ABWE in Brazil. She has seen the Brazilian youth groups being challenged by youth missions trips from the States. She has been involved in discipleship of new converts and has seen God answer prayer at First Baptist Church of Sete Lagoas. Betsy Stoltzfus'88 has been appointed by World Team to do church planting in Spain. She was able to visit the team for two weeks in the fall. Dan Rambow '90 is now in San Cristobal, Venezuela serving with The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM). He will be directing student outreach and evangelism at Christiansen Academy and will be involved in many local church ministries. Becky Reich Hannon'92 and her husband, David, have sensed God leading them away from camp responsibilities in Ecuador with GMU. Pray that they will continue to be open to other opportunities God brings their way. Mike Measley'92 is starting a literacy program in Malaunmanda, Papua New Guinea. Many of the people want to be in the first class, but it will be limited to ten students. Mike asks for prayer in daily translation teaching preparation. Scott'95 and Christine Fischbacher Hayden'93 are thankful for the spacious apartment the Lord has provided for them. There is even room enough for Thursday night prayer meetings. They also rejoice that another school year has started in Thailand and for God's protecting hand over them and the other staff. Jeff'96 and Tiffany Trimble Nelson '95 are praying specifically for Ohio churches to support them in their burden for Brazil. Jeff was allowed the privilege to visit Brazil and interact with some of the people they will be working with when they get their support. This made them even more anxious to get to the field. Chris Leverette'98 reports that he is safe and well in Taiwan after experiencing the earthquake that occurred in September. Bruce'94 and Julie Seaman Moore '93, Phil Graves'95, and Sandra Entner '59 were also in Taiwan during this time and report that they too were unharmed. Ben '98 and Holly Barnett Nordaas'98 share that their lives have been filled with many adventures. They moved into a new apartment, started making plans for the birth of their baby, and directed an English camp. Many new friendships came out of the two-week camp, and the couple had many opportunities to show others their desire to be different for Christ.
