90s Steve ’90 and Jennifer Smith Brumbaugh ’92 announce the birth of Nicolas Frederick. He was born June 12, 2000 and joins his brothers, Matthew (4) and Philip (2), at home in West Milton, Ohio. Joel ’90 and Dana Daniels Campbell ’92 announce the birth of Aaron Joel on February 27, 2000. They reside in London, England. David ’90 and Michele Carlyss Conner ’90 announce the birth of Justin Marc on April 26, 1999. He was welcomed home by his big brother, Michael (3), in Valparaiso, Indiana. David is an associate for the accounting firm Olive, LLP. Sue Nash Duguid ’90 and her husband, Rob, announce the birth of Victoria Anne on December 3, 1999. Torianne joins her two brothers, T.J. (7) and Drew (5), in Albany, New York. Rob is a research chemist at Albany Molecular Research, and Sue stays home with the children. Jon ’90 and Lori Rogers Haskell ’90 enjoyed their furlough, but are glad to be back in Hungary. In September, they had the opportunity to travel to a church in Romania in order to challenge them to become a sending church for a regional church planting movement. Bobby ’90 and Sara Sweetland Hile ’92 were happy to be able to spend five weeks in the United States this fall. They visited family and friends and also promoted the “Blessing Durban: The Decade of a Movement” project. This is an aggressive plan to build ten churches for ten Durban congregations in ten years. The Hiles have three children and minister with ABWE in Durban, South Africa. Jeff ’90 and Heidi Laub Kohl ’90 live in Wilmington, North Carolina, where they own and operate Kohl’s Frozen Custard and Jumbo Burgers. They have three locations in Wilmington and will soon be opening another in Greenville, North Carolina. They have four children, Sammy (7), Noah (2), and twins, Marcus and Ellie (1). Rod ’90 and Sara Taylor Perkins ’94 are serving the Lord in Cape Town, South Africa with Evangelical Baptist Missions. They are thankful for the ministry of Bethesda Outreach. This is a program designed to build orphan-care villages to look after children whose parents have died of AIDS. Dan Rambow ’90 is now serving the Lord with Latin America Mission in Venezuela, where he is the pastor of Valencia Community Church. David ’90 and Linda Gagnebin Ulmer ’91 announce the birth of Geneva Grace on July 9, 2000. She joins Sylvia (8), Victoria (5), Leandra (4), and Riley David (2), at home in Wilmington, Ohio. David works on the hematology/oncology unit at The Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati. Linda is a homemaker and home-school teacher. James Breuler ’91 and Kristy Lloyd were married July 8, 2000 in the courtyard of the Don Cesar beach resort in St. Pete Beach, Florida. The couple chose this beautiful outdoor setting because it was Jim’s love for the beach that brought him to Florida, where they met the first week Jim moved there. After a honeymoon in Hawaii, they have settled in Ocala, Florida. Jim is the executive director of Lifecare Center of Ocala, and Kristy is a high school English teacher. Tim ’91 and Amy Seifert Felt ’94 announce the birth of Riley Walker. He was born April 29, 2000 and was welcomed home by his brother, Blake (2), in Delaware, Ohio. Tim is a supervisor for Hartford-Omni Insurance and travels throughout the states of Ohio, Virginia, and North Carolina. Amy has the privilege of staying home with the boys and teaching piano lessons. They are members of Grace Baptist Church in Westerville. William Pardi ’91 has been named vice president of development at LearnitCorp in Gainesville, Florida. He will lead a development team in creating the next generation of the company’s Web-based e-learning technology. LaDonna Baxter Roll ’91 and her husband, Kenny, announce the birth of Carter Thomas on September 12, 2000. He was born four weeks premature, so they praise the Lord for His goodness in Carter’s safe and healthy arrival. He joins his sister, Madison (3), in Martinsville, Indiana, where Kenny is the assistant ticket manager at Indiana University and LaDonna enjoys staying home with the children. Mark ’91 and Cheryl Steiner Warnshuis ’92 live in Erie, Pennsylvania where Mark works part-time as associate pastor of Garden Heights Baptist Church. He is also a full-time teacher at Bethel Christian School, teaching math, science, and Bible. Cheryl stays at home with their three girls, Rachel (6), Rebecca (4), and Sara (2), and teaches piano lessons. Stephanie Panther Alexander ’92N and her husband, Derek, announce the birth of Brandon Glenn on February 8, 2000. Big brother Vance (2) welcomed him home in Richland, Washington. Derek works with his father on their 1,000-acre alfalfa farm, and Stephanie stays at home with the boys and directs the choir at their church. Becky Reich Hannon ’92 and her husband, David, rejoice that the Lord has allowed them to be in a ministry of reaching kids for the Lord. They live in Carmel, New York, where they minister with Children’s Bible Fellowship. Karl ’92 and Sandy Rinehart Hofheinz ’94 announce the birth of Elijah Christoph on August 4, 2000. He was welcomed home by Josiah (4) and Hannah (18 months) in Roanoke, Virginia. Gerry ’92 and Kim Wisdom Horton ’90 announce the birth of Emily Christina. She was born September 15, 2000, and joins her brothers, Andrew (5) and Ethan (2). They reside in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, where Gerry is a youth and Christian education pastor, and Kim is a homemaker. Amy Hurst Imlay ’92 and her husband, Russell, announce the birth of Morgan Alene on April 30, 2000. Two-year old twins, Jared and Lauren, awaited her arrival in Columbus, Indiana. Amy is a part-time labor and delivery nurse. Paul ’92 and Linda Thompson Jezek ’91 announce the birth of Jason Thomas. He was born July 24, 2000, and joins his three-year-old twin sisters, Julie and Jenna, in St. Charles, Illinois. Proud grandparents are Dale ’68 and Carolyn Diveley Thompson ’64 . Tim ’92 and Krista Hill Neubert ’91 announce the birth of Cade Hunter on August 11, 1999. His brother, Cole (4), welcomed him home. They live in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, where they own and operate the local Dairy Queen. Brian ’92 and Dana Guy Phipps ’90 have begun worshipping in Turkish on Sunday mornings in Turkey. They are thrilled for this new step of faith the team has taken. Inspire 25 Adventures in Time Honored by Ohio Dayton Public Radio’s original program “Adventures in Time,” which involves two Cedarville alumni, received two statewide Ohio Education Telecommunications awards recently. The first, for excellence in educational series programming, recognized the education aspect and community services provided by this program, which chronicles Dayton-area history from pre-1796 through the present day. The second award recognized “Adventures in Time” as the radio program of the year for the state of Ohio, citing the collaborative nature of the venture and the unusual emphasis on both the history of the region and the historical aspects of radio. Jim Leightenheimer ’90 was the production director of this Peabody Award-nominated radio program. His responsibilities included participating in auditions for the cast, directing the cast in rehearsal and performance, working with the composer to create all original music for each episode, and directing the efforts of the technical crew (sound engineer, stage crew, lighting technician, and Foley sound effects artist.) Jeremy Whaley ’00 was the composer of the original music for “Adventures in Time.”
