First Lieutenant Nathan Houk ’98 and First Lieutenant Ann Kobiela ’98 are currently deployed to Bosnia- Herzegovina as part of Task Force Med Eagle in support of Stabilization Force VIII, Operation Joint Forge. Ann serves as an army nurse for the 249th General Hospital—a 38-bed facility providing combat health support for multi-national soldiers in the Balkans. As a pilot for the 57th Medical Company Air Ambulance, Nathan and his crew provide 24-hour air medical evacuation by UH-60A Black Hawk helicopters. Joshua Overholt ’98 and Laura Schulz ’98 were married November 13, 1999 in Wisconsin. Steven Overholt ’74 officiated. Many Cedarville alumni participated in the wedding. The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Bermuda and now reside in Westerville, Ohio. Josh is a new development manager at EDS, and Laura is an accounting supervisor with Value City Department Stores. Chris ’99N and Lori Hockenberry Alexander ’96 announce the birth of Jason Ryan on May 4, 2000. They reside in Park Forest, Illinois. Aaron Burak ’99 and Allison Ramsey ’99 were married October 16, 1999. After a honeymoon in Williamsburg, Virginia, the couple has settled in Worthington, Ohio. Aaron works for Wilcox Sales & Service. Daniel Forness ’99 and Summer Schafer ’98 were married December 27, 1999 at Hartland Bible Church in Middleport, New York. The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Toronto, Canada, and now reside in Middleport. Dan is the associate pastor of worship and outreach at Hartland Bible Church, and Summer is taking classes to complete her educational specialist degree in school psychology. Shawn Lundvall ’99 and Erin Reagan ’99 were married August 14, 1999 in Chincoteague, Virginia. Shawn is a graduate student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, and Erin is an elementary school teacher. Joseph McGinnis ’99 is the intern to family ministries and building maintenance director at Grace Baptist of Troy, Ohio. He is also pursuing a master’s degree at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Joe and his wife, Aime Johnson McGinnis ’00 , have a daughter, Nadia. Ben Thompson ’99 and Jill Breckenfeld ’99 were married July 31, 1999. They reside in Lansing, Michigan. Paul Yuen ’99 and Natalie Bunch ’99 were married July 29, 2000 and reside in Toledo, Ohio. He is married to Liz McDonald Fronduti ’99 . Scott Lehr ’00 is the minister of youth at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Flint, Michigan. J. Adam Rizer ’00 and Jennifer Paulik ’99 were married June 17, 2000. The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, and now reside in Springfield, Ohio. Adam is finishing his degree at Cedarville, and Jennifer teaches computer classes to grades 6-8 at Northridge in Springfield. In Memory Of Bob White ’32 passed away at the age of 90 on May 5, 2000 in Seminole, Florida. A gift was contributed to the Stevens Student Center in his memory by his widow, Bernese Elias White ’33 . Delbert Tobin ’40 passed away at the age of 82 on August 27, 2000 in Dayton, Ohio. Our sincere condolences to his family members. Trustee Emeritus Home With the Lord William B. Patterson, an emeritus member of Cedarville’s board of trustees, passed away September 25, 2000 at the age of 100 after nearly five decades of service to the University. Funeral services were held September 30, 2000, at Grace Baptist Church in Westlake, Ohio. Mr. Patterson was born in Fort Mill, South Carolina on April 22, 1900. He began a career in electrical construction and supervision in 1918 and moved to the Cleveland area in 1925. He spent the majority of his adult life working for the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company as a general foreman for electrical line installation and maintenance crews and retired as district manager in 1965. Mr. Patterson was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cleveland for more than 55 years. Mr. Patterson was first elected to the board of Baptist Bible Institute (BBI) of Cleveland in 1945. He became a member of the Cedarville board when operational control of Cedarville College passed to BBI in 1953. Mr. Patterson contributed his expertise in electrical work to many projects on the Cedarville campus. From 1953 to 1960, he helped install the wiring for Williams, Faith, and Patterson Halls. Patterson Hall was named in his honor. Mr. Patterson was preceded in death by his first wife, Beulah, in 1977, and second wife Ruby in January 2000. Mr. Patterson is survived by three children, 12 grandchildren (one deceased), and 24 great-grandchildren.
