Inspire 25 Brian ’95 and Catherine Tharp Exline ’95 announce the birth of Cayla Elizabeth on July 29, 2000. They reside in Louisburg, North Carolina. Dustin Wray Hockensmith ’95 had his first solo album, “The Difference,” released in November. Dustin lives in Warren, Ohio and is a quality manager for Falcon Transport. He recently completed three years in command in an Army Reserve unit. He is also the lead singer/manager for the band SHADOWLANDS, a ministry of his church, Cortland Trinity Baptist. Brent ’95 and Keila Whittaker Underwood ’95 announce the birth of Karis Ann on May 23, 2001. She joins her brother, Trey (2), at home in Williamsburg, Virginia. Steve ’96 and Carrie Beaty Burdette ’95 announce the birth of Rylanne Gloria on December 29, 2000. Steve is a second year internal medicine resident at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He was named Outstanding First Year Resident this past year. Carrie enjoys staying home with Rylanne. David Curtis ’96 received his doctorate of medicine degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in May 2001. He has entered a five-year surgical residency program at the University of Texas Southwestern. He and his wife, Amy Walker Curtis ’96 , reside in Garland, Texas. Charles ’96 and Jennifer Myers Dean ’96 announce the birth of Caleb Charles on April 3, 2001. Charles is the youth pastor at First Baptist Church in Pekin, Illinois. Amy DeWitt ’96 and Joseph Mahaffey were married August 18, 2001. They reside in Lynchburg, Virginia. Mindy Gregg ’96 and George Coates were married July 15, 2000. They reside in North Richland Hills, Texas. Jeff ’96 and Tiffany Trimble Nelson ’95 share that Jeff is teaching religion at a public school through a government program. Jeff is also ministering at a high security juvenile prison, and many of the inmates are excited to talk about spiritual things. Tiff continues to keep busy with their three children, Caleb, Michaela, and Joshua. Lisa Heale Skillman ’96 and her husband, Chuck, announce the birth of Abigail Lyda on August 17, 2001. She joins big brother, Preston (3), at home in Arcade, New York. Chuck is a real estate agent with Stovroff Realty, and Lisa is an independent Longaberger sales consultant. Adria Andrews ’97 teaches third grade at Zuisqueya Christian School in Port Au Prince, Haiti. Mary Jo Blanton ’97 and Adam Caouette were married March 10, 2001. Several Cedarville alumni participated in the wedding. Adam graduated from Wheaton College’s art program and is employed as a web designer. Mary Jo received her master of arts degree in clinical psychology from Wheaton College in August 2000. She is now employed as a counselor near their Haverhill, Massachusetts home. Jeremy Farlow ’97 and his wife, Tara, announce the birth of Nathan Michael. He was born September 19, 2000 and joins his sister, Angela (18 months), at home in Cedarville, Ohio. Jeremy is a program manager in Springfield, Ohio. Beverly Keist Jacobson ’97 and her husband, Ted, announce the birth of Charis Noelle on October 18, 2000. Ted is a captain in the United States Air Force and is stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Beverly has quit her job as a teacher in order to stay at home with Charis. Rachel Henricks Jones ’97 and her husband, Caleb, announce the birth of Annie Sarena on June 13, 2001. They reside in Archbold, Ohio. Jason Kaufman ’97 has been promoted to director of athletics media services at Western Illinois University in Macomb. David ’97 and Elizabeth Roseboom Kaynor ’97 announce the birth of Jenna Mae on April 18, 2001. David teaches high school math at Macomb Christian Schools in Warren, Michigan, and Liz works part-time from home in addition to being a stay-at-home-mom. They reside in Detroit, Michigan. Rachel Maki ’97 and David Battey were married June 16, 2000. They reside in Caledonia, Michigan. Heather Bethel Pendleton ’97 and her husband, Todd, announce the birth of Andrew Stephen Eric on April 23, 2001. His brother, Caleb (2), awaited his arrival in Buxton, Maine. Heather is a part-time reading tutor, and Todd is a civil engineer. Jesse ’97 and Kerry Allen Roberts ’97 announce the birth of Daniel Palmer. He was born March 29, 2001 and joins his brother, Jacob (2), at home in Milton, Vermont. Megan McMacken Rock ’97 has been accepted into the online graduate program in technical writing at Utah State University. Her husband, John, is in his second year as a biblical studies student at Rochester College in Rochester, Michigan. While John prepares for full-time ministry, Megan continues to work as a technical writer for FANUC Robotics North America, Inc. and as the CU alumni Web site designer. The Rocks reside in Armada, Michigan. Dan ’98 and Jill Bollman Cassidy ’98 announce the birth of Kathryn Emma on December 14, 2000. Dan is a network administrator at Master Group Consultants, and Jill stays at home with Kathryn in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Craig Magrum ’98 and Gayle Weaver were married April 28, 2001 at Dayspring Assembly of God in Bowling Green, Ohio. After a honeymoon on Sanibel Island in Florida, the couple returned home to Bowling Green. Craig is the traffic manager and midday host at Christian Hit Radio YES FM. Gayle is the secretary for the youth pastor at Dayspring Assembly of God. Rob Welner ’98 and Jolie Fourman ’99 were married June 30, 2001 at Faith Baptist Church in Greenville, Ohio. Several Cedarville alumni participated in the wedding. The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in California and now reside in Brunswick, Maine. Joe Whinnery ’98 and Melody Curtis ’94 were united in marriage August 11, 2001 at Stubbs Memorial Park in Centerville, Ohio. Several Cedarville alumni participated in the wedding, including Ken Buck ’98 , who officiated the ceremony. The couple honeymooned in Sunset Beach, North Carolina, and they are now residing in Pontiac, Michigan, where Joe works as an electrical engineer at Valeo Electrical Systems. Scott ’98 and Liz Parr Wrigglesworth ’98 announce the birth of Colburn Scott on July 18, 2001. Scott is in area development at Dayton Power and Light in Dayton, Ohio. Liz is the resident director for Willetts Hall at Cedarville University. Ehrin Arimura ’99 and Joshua McDonald were married July 8, 2000. They reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Sarah West Barnett ’99 and her husband, Stacey, announce the birth of Andrew James on March 19, 2001. They reside in St. Anthony, Minnesota. BJ Bechtel ’99 was able to connect with a few young boys during summer camp at Inner City Impact in Chicago, Illinois. He praises God for working in the lives of these boys to convict them of their need for Christ. John Botkin ’99 and his wife, Melinda, announce the birth of Joshua on August 2, 2001. John is a student at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
