Did You Know? Did You Know? and Mark teaches high school English. They were part of a group of alumni who participated in a pre-field orientation for teachers going to International Christian Schools in July 2003. Timothy Cline ’02 and Noelle Climie were married August 23, 2003 at Hillside Chapel in Beavercreek, Ohio. They enjoyed a honeymoon in Maui City and have made their home in Beavercreek. Rachel Frey ’02 and Ryan Harshbarger were married June 28, 2003 at Mehoopany Baptist Church in Mehoopany, Pennsylvania. After a honeymoon in Maui, the couple returned to their home in Moscow, Pennsylvania. Kevin Hamilton ’02 was deployed to Iraq in September 2003. He is the battalion safety officer with the 1-5 field artillery of the first infantry division. During his this one-year deployment, his wife, Kristen (Konzelman) ’02 , will stay in Kansas to work on her master’s program. Inspire 33 Erin Smith ’02 and Joseph Wilson were married June 21, 2003 in Johnstown, Ohio. They enjoyed a honeymoon in St. Louis. The couple lives in Columbus, Ohio, where Erin works full-time in customer service at Sportmart and also works part-time as a board operator for a Clearchannel radio station. Joseph is a manager for Nordstrom. James Stitzel ’02 and Elizabeth Schumacher ’03 were married May 24, 2003 at Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio. They now reside in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jim is working on his master of social psychology degree at Ball State University, where he is a graduate assistant in the office of academic assessment and institutional research. Elizabeth is a carriage driver in downtown Indy and is looking for a job in the field of multimedia or broadcasting. Katrina Shank ’03 is currently a nanny in Switzerland. In Memory Of Orena Marshall Haynes ’41 went home to be with the Lord on September 14, 2003 in Pataskala, Ohio. She taught home economics and was a state specialist in textile and clothing until her retirement in 1977. We extend our deepest sympathy to her family. Alfred Fehlmann ’46 went home to be with the Lord on September 7, 2003 in Reston, Virginia. He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and in 1984 he retired from his position as a professor at the University of Dayton. We offer our condolences to his family and friends. Clyde Baumgardner ’52 went home to be with the Lord on September 3, 2003 in Dayton, Ohio. We extend our deepest sympathy to his family. Buster McPheeters ’66 went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2003. He was a retired teacher from the Clark-Shawnee school district of Clark County (Ohio) and had received his master of education degree from Wright State University. We extend our deepest sympathy to his wife, Nancy, at this time of loss. Marienne Vail McCausland ’80 went home to be with the Lord on September 10, 2003 at the age of 45. We offer our condolences to her family. She was a communications manager for Savage Arms, a manufacturer of muzzleloaders and classic firearms. Marienne won several championships as a sharpshooter of muzzleloaders, rifles, and pistols. 1st Lieutenant Micah Hutchins ’01 e-mailed the alumni office recently to let them know how he is doing. Micah, who has been in Iraq since April 19, 2003, says “things are OK,” but rough at times. “The weather is a lot better now than it was during the summer,” he revealed. “After dealing with 150 degree heat, I would love to see some snow!” Micah also reported that he married Sarah Headings on June 15, 2002. The couple’s first child, Abria Lisette, was born on May 14, 2003. Micah has not yet seen Abria. “So,” Micah explained, “I am very anxious to get back in one piece.” Micah says he will be in Iraq for at least a few more months. The Cedarville University Department of Business Administration has named its first-ever executive-in-residence. Gary Habegger, former vice president for human resources and administration for the Goodrich Corporation, will visit campus five to six times a year for activities which could include teaching, conducting seminars, presenting an open forum to the University, and meeting with alumni. Did You ALSO Know? Dr. Bill Brown, president of Cedarville University, offered the opening prayer for the Ohio Senate on October 14, 2003. Did You Know? Did You Know? Dr. Ron Walker, professor of management science, has been named chair of the department of business administration. Ron had been serving as acting chair since the unexpected homegoing of Chair Marinus Hazen in January 2003.
