Scott'97 and Kendra Risser Ice'97 announce the birth of Kyla Marie on February 10, 2005. Scott is in corporate finance at Circuit City, and Kendra works in crisis management at Capital One. They reside in Richmond, Virginia. Joy Beitler Kramer'97 and her husband, Jeff, announce the birth of Cole Robert on January 2, 2006. Joy works part-time as a licensed counselor and enjoys spending most of her time with Cole. Jeff is an apartment life director for Irving Bible Church in Irving, Texas. Betsy Lindaberry Maier'97 and her husband, David, announce the birth of Alison Grace. She was born July 5, 2005 and was welcomed home by her brother, Andrew (4), in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. They enjoy being involved at Easton Bible Church. David teaches high school chemistry and physics, and Betsy is a part-time registered nurse at Cooper University Hospital. Gordon Rogers'97 is pleased to announce that he has taken a position with Morningstar Mission in Joliet, Illinois as a vocational coordinator. This is an answer to prayer because he has been waiting on God to provide employment for quite some time. He hopes this is an encouragement to others who may be seeking God's direction for their careers. Jeff'97 and Angela Boyce Saunders'97 are full- time motel managers in Kijabe, Kenya. They rejoice that the transition between station technical manager and motel manager went smoothly. They are praying for the Lord's direction and timing on the construction of a new motel building. Paul'98 and Krissy Brown DeKruyter'97 announce the birth of Brody Isaiah. He was born October 25, 2005 and joins big brother, Tanner (3), at home in Holland, Michigan. Paul is an engineer at Johnson Controls, and Krissy stays home with the boys. Jen Alt'99 and Matt Erway eloped on February 18, 2006 at the Belhurst Castle in the Finger Lakes in New York. Jen teaches high school Spanish, and Matt teaches middle school woodshop and industrial arts. They recently finished building their log cabin in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. 13.1 Bechtel'99 and his wife, Shanna, announce the birth of Abigail Ruth on July 5, 2006. They thank God for the safe delivery of Abby. They reside in Chicago, Illinois. Ben '99 and Jill Breckenfeld Thompson '99 announce the birth of Leah Joy on July 21, 2005. She was welcomed home by her brother, Jamin (3). Ben teaches eighth grade science in Caledonia, Michigan, and Jill enjoys staying home with the children and giving piano lessons out of their home. 2000s Dave Hewitt'00 and LeeAnn Senseney'03 were married June 25, 2004 in Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, where they now reside. Several Cedarville alumni participated in the ceremony. They enjoyed a honeymoon in Walt Disney World. LeeAnn is a private music instructor, working out of their home, and Dave is a fifth grade teacher at Tuckerton Elementary School. Sarah Rittgers Roduner'00 and her husband, Steve, announce the birth of Timothy Theophilus on May 31, 2006. Steve is a software engineer for IBM, and Sarah left her nursing job to stay at home with Timothy. They reside in Rochester, Minnesota. Jonathan '01 and Noella Fisher Kleis '99 announce the birth of Luca Benjamin on March 29, 2006. Luca was born in Perugia, Italy, where Jonathan is attending the University for Foreigners and Noella is studying the Italian language at home with a tutor. They plan to move to Turin, Italy in 2007, where they will begin church-planting with ABWE. Luca was welcomed home by his siblings, Samuel(3) and Emma(17 months). Kara Allen Niclasen '01 and her husband, Ryan, now reside in Niagara Falls, Ontario, after serving as associates with New Tribes Mission in the Philippines for one year. Ryan is self- employed, and Kara enjoys staying at home with their son, Noah (9 months). Emily Poorman '01 and Nicholas Exman were married June 18, 2005. Emily teaches fifth and sixth grade science. They reside in Beavercreek, Ohio. Ryan '01 and Amy Fenton Roesler '01 announce the birth of Alexandria Elizabeth on May 15, 2006. They are thankful God protected her when she underwent open heart surgery at four days old. Big sister Mackenzie was glad to have her home in Royersford, Pennsylvania. Ryan is the athletic director at Chapel Christian Academy, and Amy stays at home with the girls. Jennifer Lutes Spencer'01 and her husband, Andrew, announce the birth of Grace Marie on February 4, 2006."Spence" is a Navy lieutenant stationed in Charleston, South Carolina, and Jennifer cares for Grace and tutors part-time. Lee Reinhard '99 and his wife, Courtney, announce the birth of Abigail Elisa on February 16, 2006. The "princess" was welcomed home by her big brothers, Andrew and Tyler (6), Garrett (4), and Isaac (2). They reside in De Graff, Ohio. 30 Winter 2006 Ministering in New Orleans "The harvest is plentiful. The workers are few, and Lord, there are so many people who need to know you. It's harvesttime. So here I am Lord, send me...." The lyrics to this children's song continue to impact Charlianne Brown'03 when she thinks of the many opportunities for ministry in New Orleans, Louisiana. During the spring, Charlianne served in New Orleans on a missions trip. God then leveled a path for her to return this past summer for extended ministry. She worked with School of Urban Missions(SUM)on the West Bank of New Orleans where she witnessed God's hand as people from all over the country of all ages worked together in full cooperation all day long. She shared,"God sent the right people with the right gifts in His perfect time." Charlianne's heart was changed as she experienced God's presence, abundant provision, and hedge of protection in New Orleans. After seeing the continued need for workers in New Orleans, Charlianne is helping SUM to recruit Cedarville students for further ministry opportunities in the area. She would like to extend the invitation to alumni as well. She writes,"The harvest is still plentiful; the workers are still few; the blessings are still flowing." Darcy graduated from Cedarville University with a degree in finance and has been a President's Circle Award member for three consecutive years. Kevin '02 and Kristen Konzelman Hamilton'02 announce the birth of Gabrielle Marie on September 1, 2006. Kevin is a project manager for DataPipe, and Kristen is a freelance writer and stay-at-home mom.They reside in Somerset, New Jersey. Steve Zarrilli'02 and his wife, Katie, announce the birth of Leah Kathleen on June 12, 2006.Steve is a youth pastor in Troy, Michigan.
