Equipping Students to Engage the World for Christ Joren Kandel '07, a recipient of the Cal Thomas Scholarship, recently received the award for "Best Drama" at the NextGen Film Festival, sponsored by the National Association of Television Program Executives. Through his passion to influence the media for Christ, Joren personifies the character of Cedarville University. Fresh out of high school, he pursued a degree in marketing. After completing a finance internship at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base(WPAFB),he decided to pick up management as an additional major. Immediately following graduation, WPAFB hired Matt to work full-time in their finance department. During his time there, he received an MBA from Wright State University. At the beginning of 2006,less than three years after graduating from Cedarville, Matt accepted the position of a sponsorship sales business manager for the Indiana Pacers. Today Matt lives in Indianapolis,Indiana with his wife, Missy. As a sponsorship sales business manager, he is responsible for the business side of sponsorship,dealing with TV, radio, and ticketing.
