While the search for a new director is ongoing, it is an honor for me to serve in this interim role. For those who may not know me, I officially joined the alumni relations team the Monday after I graduated from Cedarville in 2004. But my connection to the department started through my involvement with the student alumni organization, Delta Alpha Epsilon, for two years and through my service as a student worker in the alumni office during my senior year. I’ve made many friends through Cedarville and love uniting alumni not only with their alma mater, but also with old and new friends. We have almost 100 graduates who participate in our regional chapter program — men and women from all over the U.S. who are indispensable in helping me plan Cedarville events. To tell you the truth, I don’t know what I’d do without them! One of the many joys of my work on campus and with alumni is seeing the characteristic generosity of our student body evolve into the giving spirit of our alumni. You show your giving spirit in so many creative ways, such as hosting traveling teams, volunteering your time in local alumni chapters, faithfully attending Cedarville sporting events, and encouraging prospective students to apply for admission. Forty of our students are finding this out as they telephone alumni, offering you another opportunity to display a giving spirit. The financial gifts we receive from faithful Cedarville graduates are what keep this University strong! One of these students may be calling you soon, and I hope you’ll give prayerful consideration as to how you will participate. Will you demonstrate a giving spirit, like those featured in this issue of Inspire ? Please know how grateful we are for your continued generosity and how much we appreciate your prayers and support. If there’s anything we can do for you, please contact us at 1-800-837-2566, or send us an e-mail at alumni@cedarville.edu. Michelle Rigel McCune ’04 Interim Director of Alumni Relations
