22Winter 2007 alumni association news Recent Alumni Events September 13 — Seattle Chapter Event Several CU alumni, parents of current students, and prospective students joined Dr. Brown in Tacoma, Washington, to hear his vision for CU. The group had a wonderful time of fellowship, and the view of Puget Sound wasn’t bad either! October 30 — Washington DC Chapter Event With more than 100 CU alumni and friends in attendance, dinner at Clyde’s Restaurant was a great choice for the Washington DC Chapter’s first event! Dr. Brown once again shared his vision for CU, and the group enjoyed getting to know one another until late in the evening. November 9 — Virginia Beach, Virginia Close to 50 alumni and friends gathered at Colonial Baptist Church to reminisce about their days at CU and hear more about what is going on at the University. Children enjoyed coloring the CU Bee, and, of course, dessert was served! November 10 — Boston Chapter Event A few brave souls came out to face the cold in Plymouth, Massachusetts, but everyone had a great time. The group toured Plimoth Plantation and then enjoyed a delicious seafood lunch at a local restaurant. November 29 — Miami Valley Chapter Event Over 100 alumni enjoyed the production of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas at LaComedia Dinner Theatre in Springboro, Ohio. Everyone enjoyed the festive show as well as the great food! November 13 — Grand Rapids Chapter Event The Prince Conference Center at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, was a convenient location for more than 100 alumni and friends to meet with Dr. Brown and hear his vision for CU. The group enjoyed sharing their favorite CU memories.
