Inspire 29 Greg ’05 and Rachel Marley Vruggink ’05 announce the birth of Christian Taylor on July 17, 2007. Jonathan ’06 and Bethany Doupe Eaby ’05 were married June 9, 2007. They reside in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. Joe ‘06 and Lana Terpstra Miller ‘06 were married on September 30, 2006 in Winona, Minnesota. After spending their first year together in the Dayton area, they now reside in Ames, Iowa. Joe is working on his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at Iowa State University; Lana works as a nurse at the Vein Clinic. Nathan Walter ’07 and Molly Thayer ’06 were married August 12, 2006, at The Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia. They have made their home in Dublin, Ohio, where Nathan and Molly both work at Deloitte. Nathan specializes in corporate accounting, and Molly specializes in high-wealth individual accounting. Ryan ’08 and Emily Cain Lowry ’07 were married July 28, 2007, in Augusta, Michigan. After a honeymoon in Seabrook Island, South Carolina, they returned to Cedarville, Ohio. Ryan is in his senior year at Cedarville, and Emily is a retail associate for Fifth Third Bank in Dayton. In Memory We extend our condolences to the family and friends of these dear loved ones. Rev. Richard Johnson ’53 went home to be with the Lord on October 9, 2006, in Rexville, New York. A graduate of the Cleveland, Ohio, Baptist Bible Institute that merged with Cedarville College the year of his graduation, Rick was ordained at First Baptist Church in Johnstown, New York. After working in youth ministry, including at Word of Life Bible Institute and Hi-B.A. (a high school evangelism fellowship whose director was the late Brandt Reed), Rick pastored Rock Hall Church in Rock Hall, Maryland, and Bennett’s Creek Bible Church in Rexville, New York. Richard also helped Rev. Max Tucker ’53 start a storefront church in Newark, Ohio. Rick leaves behind his wife, Shirley Taylor Johnson (whom he met at Baptist Bible Institute); three children and their spouses; three siblings and their spouses; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mary West Bradford ’64 went home to be with the Lord on November 14, 2007, in Prescott, Arizona. An English major at Cedarville, Mary will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose strong Christian faith was a testimony to those around her. She leaves behind her husband, Jack; two daughters and their husbands; two stepchildren and their spouses; one brother; and nine grandchildren. alumnotes It’s time for the always-popular “Where in the World is Cedarville?” 2008 photo contest.
