Intentional Cultivation is designed to help reduce some of the burden of starting or revamping a girls' ministry. It focuses on getting leaders to ask the right questions and to frame their ministry in a way that will be beneficial to both the church and the students involved. The author's prayer is that this book will help church leaders create meaningful ministry programs for girls that center on Christ and cultivate both a knowledge of and love for God. This brief curriculum highlights six key components of girls' ministry: theology, necessity, purpose, vision, structure, and resources. Ashley states: Intentional Cultivation started out as the capstone project for my Cedarville M.Min. degree! As I was writing, I kept thinking, "this could be so helpful for others who are trying to start a girls' ministry." My time at Cedarville, as both an undergraduate and graduate student, taught me a lot about practically doing ministry and I wanted to make some of that knowledge available to others -- in a pretty condensed way.
