OUR MINISTRIES Cedarville is a Christian college. Each student and faculty member testifies of personal faith in Jesus Christ. Daily chapel is required. A special spiritual emphasis week highlights each academic quarter. Student to student discipling pervades the campus. Over 80 percent of the student body is involved in Christian outreach ministries through 64 gospel teams that go out weekly to churches, jails, hospi– tals, and rest homes. Each winter and spring break, teams travel cross– country to places like New York City, Dallas, and the beaches of Fort Lauderdale to witness for Christ. The college's Missionary Internship Program is one of the most unique in the country. This summer more than 100 young people received training and traveled to places around the world to experience missions first hand. Countries ministered in in– cluded: Australia, Brazil, China, Israel, the Philippines, Spain, Scotland, Ecuador, Italy, and Togo, West Africa. WCDR-FM 90.3 MHZ, the college radio station, has 3,000 watts of power which allows the "Sacred Sounds of Peace" to be heard throughout southwestern Ohio. The station broadcasts the daily chapel services and features internationally known Bible teachers and conservative music. Bible conferences highlight the summer and are specifically designed to provide low-cost vacation opportunities in a beautiful setting and in the context of outstanding Bible teaching. The college also sponsors the Cedarville Baptist Open which brings over 300 golfers to campus each year. The TORCH magazine is a ministry-oriented, quarterly publica– tion that is sent free to subscribers. Response to recent themes such as prayer, music, and death have been overwhelming, indicating that the ministry of Cedarville College is effective and far-reaching.
