Named in honor of the 15,000 alumni who have passed through Cedarville, The Alumni Hall provides a spacious place for friends to meet and have fellowship. ~I ( The Recital Hall, a 255-seat auditorium with quality acoustical features, provides an excellent venue for faculty and student recitals and guest lecturers, as well as a daily classroom. Department of Music and Christian Ministries groups, together totaling about 500 students, now enjoy their own rehearsal rooms. Prior to the completion of The Dixon Ministry Center, rehearsals were held whenever open classrooms were available. ~11eMa~ only a few more weeks remain to attract the $500,000 challenge grant offered by The Kresge Foundation to finish The Ministry Center Campaign. In June, The Foundation announced that if Cedarville College could attract $1.8 million by December 31 , the Foundation would provide the final $500,000 to complete the funding for the $15 million facility. At the time that TORCH went to press, all but $550,000 of the $1.8 million had been given or committed. Over 1,400 friends and alumni of Cedarville have generously participated in The Ministry Center Campaign, the largest capital endeavor in the history of the College. They have recognized that The Dixon Ministry Center embodies the heart and soul of Cedarville-a vibrant daily chapel experience, excellent academic and professional preparation, and an active vision to reach the world for Jesus Christ. We encourage many more to become involved by December 31 and help provide the remaining $550,000. Both outright gifts and good-faith commitments to give through 1998 will count toward the challenge, if received by December 31 .
