Torch, Fall 2006

T he Lord said, “Behold, days are coming … when I will fulfill the good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel …” (Jer. 33:14, NASB). Events that involve the nation of Israel have inherent prophetic significance for at least four reasons. First, the Middle East conflict is significant because it reminds us that Israel is central to God’s plan for the future. This same plan was repeated both to Isaac (Gen. 26:4, 23-24) and Jacob (Gen. 28:14-15; 35:9- 12). God has bound Himself by solemn oath to 22 TORCH / Fall 2006 “Behold, Days are Coming ...” By Thomas H. Cragoe, Th.D.
