The Cold War is over. The presidents of the superpowers of the world, United States President George Bush and Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev, met in Washington D.C. and Camp David to discuss arms control, chemical weapons, conventional forces, trade, and a myriad of other topics designed to bring West and East to a state of peace. Hope abounds in the hearts of all peace-loving people. But is it really over? A recent Gallup Poll reveals that a significant number of Americans think the Cold Ward continues. They also believe that Gorbachev cannot be trusted. Few want to provide financial help for the Soviet ~n.is battle has been waged through all ages, but vietoryis assured. Union, and forty percent are hesitant about present arms agreements under discussion. Whatever the outcome in that current effort, the Christian remains engaged in another serious conflict. Donald Gray Barnhouse wrote a book on the topic and called it The Invisible War. Paul said to the Ephesians, "For we wrestle not · against flesh and blood but against prin– cipalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6: l 2). The enemy is Satan.
