I - The Ministry Center of Cedarville College Lifelong Habits. Cedarville College places a high priority on students growing spiritually through daily chapel services and establishing lifelong habits of godly worship through music and ministry. Students gather for a chapel service at 10 a.m., Monday through Friday, to focus on God 's Word and its centrality to daily living . As music is part of true worship , students of all academic backgrounds are encouraged to excel in music through either individual lessons or as a member of one of 14 performing groups or ensembles . And every student is challenged to express his faith and serve in one of over 100 ministry opportunities at home and abroad . Lifetime Benefits. Alumni tell us of the staying power of these priorities. Graduates continually cite the influence of chapel and conference speakers and the continual benefits of worship and ministry as they serve in their own churches and communities. They agree that their academic preparation was second to none , but what truly made lasting impressions in their lives were chapel services and opportunities in music and ministry. These distinctives are truly the heart and soul of Cedarville College . And The Ministry Center is an investment to assure these priorities for years to come. It offers an auditorium that brings together a growing college family for chapel services, provides a facility which matches the quality of our Department of Music , and gives more strategic space to the Division of Christian Ministries so that they can better prepare students who are eager to serve. And A Short-Term Challenge. We begin using The Ministry Center in the fall of 1996. And all but $2 million of The Ministry Center Campaign goal has been generously provided by hundreds of friends, alumni , and parents . The Kresge Foundation of Troy, Michigan has told us that they will provide the final $500 ,000 of this amount if Cedarville can attract the remainder by December 31, 1996 . The remainder now stands at $1.5 million . Will you consider a gift or commitment to help successfully cover the remaining balance of The Ministry Center Campaign and attract the $500,000 Kresge Foundation challenge grant? Both new gifts and written commitments through 1998 qualify to help meet the challenge. Commitments include a donor's intent to give later in 1996 , 1997 , or 1998. Every gift, no matter the amount, will make a significant difference in providing this facility. Even more importantly, you will help assure that we continue to help students cultivate lifelong habits of living by God 's Word and worshiping Him through praise and service. r----------------------------------------------, Yes, we want to help successfully cover the remaining balance of The Ministry Center Campaign and .. attract the $500 ,000 Kresge Foundation challenge grant.
