In 1887, five godly men were led to found Cedarville College. They envisioned an institution that would provide an outstanding education to equip graduates to serve “for the crown and the covenant.” Their original purpose continues today “for the Word of God and testimony of Jesus Christ” through the educational mission of Cedarville University. From a small college with fewer than 100 students to a growing comprehensive university of more than 3,300, the mission has remained the same. But the vision has grown. Cedarville has inspired greatness for 125 years through the humble service of dedicated faculty and staff and the eternal impact of more than 20,000 alumni serving Christ around the world.
