CHAPTER FIVE Character DISCOBOLUS "Discobolus" is a work of the Greek sculptor, Myron, who lived in the fifth century B. C. The myriad forces within us are in- cessantly developing. A great structure is going up, story by story, although we are not conscious of the process. It is character—a building that must stand; so we must be per- fectly sure that there is a secure foundation that will endure the storms and turmoil of life. But as one leak will sink a ship, and one flaw break a chain, so one dishonorable, Page Thirty-nine
