During the early season in-door work-outs in the gymnasium helped to get the players in shape for the season. The '47 record was five wins in eight games. The 5-1 victory over Xavier University with Marcus Townsley on the mound was one ofthe season high- lights. Townsley also threw a one hitter against Findlay in the opener. With the climax of the season, Virgil "Birdie" McNulty closed his illus- trious athletic career at Cedarville.
