e veninq School eavioion -- -._9n aye/anI In September 1941, Bible-Believing Baptist pastors discussed and set forth a plan for a Bible Institute for the Cleveland area. By July, 1942 a course of study for the first year was adopted and officers were elected. The school was to be held in the Educational Building of the Hough Avenue Baptist Church. Four years later on June 4, 1946 the first graduation class received their diplomas, having satisfactorily completed required work in the evening school. A day school was started in 1947 and continued as such until June, 1953 when the school moved to Cedarville, Ohio to establish the Cedarville Baptist College and Bible Institute. In July, 1953 the burning of the Hough Avenue Baptist Church caused the evening school to be moved to its present location in the Brookside Baptist Church, 3420 Henninger Road, Cleveland, Ohio. 111
