Smiling faces proudly display scratchy beards. "Homecoming 1962," with its theme "As the Cedar Grows," was ushered in by the arrival of friends and acquaintances and the stiff com- petition between classes and clubs for the best Homecoming display. Novelty was provided by the men students who competed to see who could grow the "biggest and best beard the fastest," in commemoration of the college's 75th anniversary. In the afternoon the Alumni-Faculty luncheon was held in the dining hall, and was followed in the late afternoon hours by a foot- ball game.
