1982 Miracle Yearbook

SPIKERS ft ATTAIN GOALS The 1982 volleyball team was a fairly young group, but the women were hard- working and enthusiastic. They finished the first half of the season with a 5-12 record, and they completed the second half at 9-9. After the first half of the season, the team set some definite goals for themselves. First, they determined to beat four of the competing universities. Second, they de- cided to raise their game point average. Both goals were made. The women voted many awards to their teammates. Karen Hobar received Most Valuable Player, Most Valuable Hitter and tied with Peggy Quigley for the Most Valu- able Defensive Player. Val Whisler re- ceived Most Valuable Setter. Dr. Kearney chose Peggy Quigley as the Most Enthu- siastic Player. The volleyball team has lost three seniors: Marcy Harper,Salli Hyde, and Darcy Mor- ton; however, the outlook for the 1982 season is full of hope.
