And of course, everyone on campus admires her behind-the-wheel prowess! Ma is a real night owl. She never goes to bed before curfew, and countless parties are held in her apartment after hours Winter quarter I caught a cold the kind that you think will linger for all four years of your college career. The fact that my incessant coughing kept nut' awake all night distressed me. Tlw fact that my inc,,ssont congliting kept my roommate awake all night distressed her! I decided to sleep on tlw sofa in tlw lounge for both of our sakes. Ma was hosting a late nightpar- ty that night After everyone left her apart- ment. she asked me why I wasn't sleeping in my own room. After hearing my expla- nation, this incredibly warm-hearted worn• un insisted on tucking me into her guest room for the night. She gave me extra blankets, opened the window a crack, and set the alarm clock. Her enthusiasm. youthfulness, and obvi• ous love for mothering students make her -Ma.- We all miss her Cedarville College won't he the same without you, Ma! K.,r../1 M.it •berrt 228
