The American Society for Personnel Administration (ASPA) was formed in 1948 by 92 human resource executives who understood the complexities ofthe emerging profession.The Cedarville stu- dent chapter of ASPA received its char- ter in Spring 1987, making ASPA the only nationally recognized professional organization on campus. It was com- prised of Business, Communications, and Psychology majors who desire to pursue careers in human resource man- agement. Through professional publica- tions and newsletters, students were provided with the latest information available on the rapidly changing man- agement field. Chapter meetings gave the students the opportunity to interact and network with human resource pro- fessionals from the Springfield area.
