As that firstyearreachedthefine,she hadmatured,but the tempo remainedconstant. Sophomore year brought a melody much like the last, onlysofter. 'The beat wasstiff breathing but had slowed to an even pace anti attacheditselftoarhythm.'Thisrhythm character- izedthe decision ofa major, the participation in a campus organization,antiafirst cortege love; this rhythm hadcreatedher identity. Junior year playedan important role. Once again the music changed, but this time thesongwasdramatic;itwasfur1"ofcrescendosand decrescendos. 'The crescendossIrtifiedthesecurity offriends anicortege fife; the decrescendos re- sultedfromstress and'college pressures. AsMay fadedinto June, the tempo pickedup to afaster pace and-the beatslippedin to stir excitement. Finally, the month ofSeptem- ber closes another summer and'the car in the driveway is packgdfor thefinale. Thefrenzied pace returns asshe looks to thefuture. Thisyear holds definite decrescendos: WiffIgetajob? Do Ihave tofill-out theseforms? Witthe everpop 'the Qyestion? Die crescendos also increase: Igot ajob! Idon't have to, I'm asenior!! Sefinally asked!!! Die addition ofthese verses adds depth to the music as the yeardrifts by. Once more the beat returnsforone fast measure: Senior N;wht, junior-Senior Banquet, ra€luation.
