Two Lady Jackets named NAIA All-Americans Highlights of the Lady Jacket track and ield season included two athletes earning qAIA All-American honors and Cedarville 2ollegeservingashostofthe NationalChris- ian College Athletic Association women's thampionshipsfor the first time ever. SeniordistancerunnerKristaPrichardand ophomore Stephanie Sherman finished in he top six of their events to become All- kmericans at the NAIA National in thbotsford, British Columbia. Prichard 'laced third in the marathon by covering the !6-miles 385-yards in 3:06:34. Sherman,the lefending nationalchampion in the outdoor -riple jump,finished third this time around Arith a leap of38-feet5-inches. Cedarville served as host of the 13th An- nual NCCAA Women's National Track and Field Championships,and the Lady Jackets finished third out of 16 teams under head coachJohn McGillivray. Huntington wonthe meet with 166 points and was followed by Taylor with99pointsand Cedarville with 71. Stephanie Sherman was named the Out- standing Female Performer of the meet as Cedarville'sloneAll-American.Shewonboth the triple and long jumps with meet record efforts and also placed third in the 100 meter hurdles. Her winning distance in the triple jumpwas38-feet3-incheswhileherlongjump mark was 18-feet 103/4inches. Cedarville also hosted the Mid-Ohio Conference championships and finished second out of four schools. Sherman led four Lady jackets whoearned spotson the All-MOC team by winning thelongjump, triplejump,and 100 meter hurdles. Jenni- fer Zenner won the800 meter run.Tiffany Shaw took the Javelin title, and Courtney Kilburn captured first place in the discus. The women finished fifth out of six schools in the NAIA District 22 meet.
