ebate The Debateteam had a very successful and fun year. Jody Condran, Scott McGillvray, Susanne Justice, Bumper Hidalgo,Cheryl PhillipsandTim Vandenberg all debated at the novice level. Molly Ward, Brian Nettleingham,Karl Cooper,AngelaWhite,Steve Holden and Shelly Heldreth all competed atthe varsity level.The team finished first in the State of Ohio and fourth in their four state region of Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky and Indi- ana.Most membersoftheteam also received individual speaking awards.On the debate circuit, Cedarville Col- lege has a reputation for not only being tough competi- tion but also for being nice, fair competition. The debate team logged in many hours of working in the library,traveling in the school vans,and staying in Motel 8. However,they openly acknowledge that their success only comes through the grace of God.
