Dr. Dixon re- mindedthosepresentofthecom- mitment of the college to the liberal arts:"There is no higher education without Jesus Christ." The Engineering depart- ment was dedicated to the memoryofDr.ElmerIngstrom. Ingstrom's achievements in- cludedspendingforty yearsat RCA,developing color televi- sion, and receiving eighteen honorary degrees.
