Open House Reunites Old Friends If you love old folks or just enjoy a good laugh, Carr basement was the place to be at Christmas Open House this year. They won first place for the men in the campus competition with their theme "The Basement Boys' Christmas Re- union."Traveling50years into the future, the four- teenresidentsofthebase- ment got dressed up in their "Sunday best" and wandered through the hall of their "Retirement Manor" entertaining all the Christmas visitors by proudly showing off pic- tures of their grandchil- dren, complaining about health, and reminiscing • Student Life aboutthe"good ol' days." R.A.ofthebasementboys, Jeff Burr, said, "I think we had more fun than any of our visitors." The guys did a great job, and word quickly traveled around campus, "You have to go see Carr Basement!" One of the basement boys, David (Gramps) Shumaker, stated, "We didn't have muchtimeto preparethis year, but it was a clever idea the guys had. It turned out to be a good time, andI'mgladwewon.
