Alpha Chi Alpha Chi is an organization with a heart for serving others in the school and surrounding community. They demonstrate this by helping older staff members with yard work and moving in new staff members. On campus, they are active with their assistance in setting up concerts and involvement with Project Angel Tree. This year, as every four years, Alpha Chi sponsored CedarWhat?,an in-depth, mock election created by Alpha Chi years ago. Alpha Psi Omega Alpha Psi Omega strives to fa- miliarize psychologystudents with the differentaspectsoftheir field of study. The group brings in a wide variety of professional speakers who share about rel- evant topics such as abuse, counseling, and marriage. These seminars keep the stu- dents informed about current eventsand help to preparethem for a career in psychology. A highlight of this club is that stu- dents often get a chance to ap- ply what they learn from the speakersand activities in hands- on training. EMS The Emergency Medical Ser- vice is for trained students who provide prompt and profes- sional pre-hospital care and transportation toCedarvillestu- dents in need. The squad has had to deal with a number of different illnesses and injuries this year. Off-campus, EMS getsto work with other medical squads, local hospitals and health-care professionals. In addition to ministering to physi- cal needs,EMS has other min- istry opportunities as well. The orga- nization enabled me to learn more about the field of psychology while at the same time allow- ing me to enjoy the fellowship with those involved in the major. •Luman Strong, Alpha Psi Omega =Et Organizations •
