First-ever Appearance in the NCCAA National Tournament Placed third in Mid-Ohio Conference It was another winning season for the Cedarville College women's volleyballteam.CoachElaineBrown's squad finished the campaign 28-16 overall,and their 10-4 Mid-Ohio Con- ferencerecord placedthemthirdinthe league. The women also made their first-ever appearance in the National ChristianCollege AthleticAssociation national tournament. Brown summarized the season by saying,"It wasalwayssatisfying to have a winning season. However,we were a little disappointed with our finish. Cedarville lost six of its final seven matches including the last four in a row. Thestreakincludedtoughfive-gamelosses to MOC Champions Rio Grande and to Findlayintheopeninground oftheNAIA District22tournament. Amidst all the ups and downs,the outstanding career of senior Angela Hartmancametoaclose. TheFortWayne, Indiananativefinished hervolleyballstay with 16 school records to her credit. Among Hartman's Lady Jacket ca- reer marks are records for the most matches played (182), games played (499),assists(4,004),digs(1,612),and serviceaces(182). Shewasalso named to the NAIA All-American Scholar- Athletic team for the second straight year. Junior outside hitter Elizabeth Miller,wholed theteam with3.08 kills pergame,wasnamed tothe All-NAIA District 22 team as well as the All- MOC first team. Sophomore middle hitter Cheryl Miller(no relation) was selected to the All-MOC second team. •Mark Womack
