Photo by Scott Huck A Light in the Dark Cedarville forensics, coached by Dr. David Robey, has won the Thio State Forensics Championship five out of the past six years. his past year, the forensics team turned in a close second to Miami Jniversity ofOhio, a team that is coached by a Cedarville College orensics alumnus. The 1994-95 forensics team consisted of 15 novice and varsity tudents. The team competed in eight tournaments his past year, finishing 4th place and higher at all ournaments. This was a very special year for the Orensics team as it was the last year that Jeremy 3rinnell and Mark Totten competed. Jeremy and dark providedstrongleadership forthe'94-95team. ioth Jeremy and Mark, along with Eric Sorensen, ompeted in the National Forensics Tournament, vith Jeremy reaching the quarter final round in )oetry. Theteam will notforgetJeremy'sand Mark's ledication and hard work; the team will miss them )oth. The mostimportant aspectofthe forensicsteam is he opportunity to be a light for Christ. The team onsistently encounters people who do not share a aith in Christ. Therefore, the team is not just a orensics team; the team is God's representative on he forensics circuit. When other schools see the 2edarville College forensics team, they see competi- ion pieces that are completely void offoul language nd vulgar and obscene themes. They see a group of tudents who are not afraid to shine as a light for 2hrist.
